This is an excellent dust shroud, and this combination with the diamond cup wheel worked out well.
I already owned a Hercules angle grinder. I really didn't want to buy another one, but reading the reviews of the various dust shrouds for concrete grinding seemed to indicate that it was going to be a problem to fit the Hercules. So I decided to purchase a Metabo HPT G12-SR4 to use with this shroud and its 5 inch diamond wheel. I figured that one of the combinations could likely be made to work, and I needed a workable solution right away. With the Metabo, the mid-thickness collar provided with the shroud is the right size, so the shroud fits on the grinder with no problem. It has to be rotated just right in order for everything to clear, but it does work, and it holds securely.Unfortunately, the spindle washer provided with the dust shroud is too thin to bring the surface of the wheel out far enough to work with the shroud on the Metabo. The spindle washer provided with the Metabo is thicker, but it is larger in diameter than the hole in the center of the shroud. One needs to use either a deeper cup wheel (at least 3 mm deeper) with the Metabo, or to do what I did, which was to enlarge the hole in the center of the shroud from about 41 mm to about 46 mm diameter. This was easy using a rotary file on a drill driver. That is just about as large as that hole can be made though. Before I get to how well the dust shroud works, a few words about fitting it to the Hercules. None of the collars supplied with the shroud are the right size to work with the Hercules. I managed to get the shroud mounted to the Hercules by wrapping 3 or 4 layers of aluminum tape around the thinnest collar. However, then the cup wheel ended up being too far in, using the original Hercules spindle washer. That washer is held in place with an O-ring, so I didn't try to replace it. But it seems likely that this shroud could be made to work with the Hercules grinder if one were to use a deeper cup wheel than the one supplied with the shroud. No guarantees about how the kludge with aluminum tape would hold up! Interestingly, the spindle wrench supplied with this cup wheel fits the Hercules, but does not fit the Metabo.Once assembled to the Metabo grinder as described above, the combination worked great! The vacuum port is a European standard size (35 mm), so, for instance, a Bosch VAC005 hose will fit right in. You have to push it in hard in order to get it secured, but once it is in, it stays there. I actually used a Cen-Tec 94181 hose because I didn't want 5 meters of hose between the Dust Deputy and the grinder and I didn't want to cut my Bosch hose shorter. As mentioned in another review, the edge grinding "window" tends to open on its own, but adding a bit of duct tape to hold it shut works well. With the combination of this dust shroud, the correct hose, the Dust Deputy, a HEPA filter bag inside the shop vac, and a HEPA internal filter in the shop vac, I had essentially NO DUST in the room while doing extensive grinding! Sure, if I got careless while grinding I could get a little dust shooting out, but overall, this rig just plain works! I ended my project with about 12 pounds of dust in the Dust Deputy and about 3 pounds in the filter bag, and like I said, essentially no dust in the room.

It works. Inculded grinding wheel not worth it.
I gave 3 stars because I would rather have had the unit at lower cost without the included grinding wheel, gloves, and hearing protection. They were all lower quality just added to boost the price. I replaced the grinding wheel after an hour. The dust shroud fit on my Makita 4.5" angle grinder with an adapter ring. Dust collection is awesome with light grinding. With heavy grinding, the dust shroud worked fine but my shop vac couldn't keep up! Tip on the dust collector port: I couldn't find a vacuum hose adapter that fit sung between my 1-7/8" hose and the dust port. I started out by taping around the outside of the port to hold the adapter in place, and it kept pulling apart. Eventually I tried just taping around the outside of my adapter and making the diameter large enough for a snug fit into the inside of the dust shroud port. This worked very well.

Price is right--but that's all.
The price would be great, if it worked. Unfortunately, the shop vac shroud, diamond disc, gloves etc., are all but worthless if there's loads of paint/material left after repeated use. Instead, a 60 grit flap disc worked amazingly well removing all the old paint and leaving a clean wood surface --all for about $1 per disc. This unit simply wasn't effective. Returned.

Serious dust collection
Had to grind finish in garage this was perfect almost dust free, no mask needed the occasional jerky bump allowed a wisp of dust but not a deal breaker. Completely happy with this shroud, great value.
