They have husks mixed in that you have to pick out. They are suppose to have been bbq flavored and I truly don't think they tasted like BBQ at all. They were VERY salty and garlicky.

Uniqueness, texture, and flavor
This snack reminds me of my childhood. They're the right crunch and saltiness. Thise corn nuts are roasted as naturally as possible. I love that the cloves of garlic with skin are still visible, crunchy, and you can eat them. The kernels are smaller and softer than corn nuts, but it's easier to chew. My favorite way of eating them is soaking them in a bowl of vinegar and hot sauce. If this is your first time eating this type of corn nuts, it doesn't taste like the corn nuts here in the US. This has a milder taste, but have a strong garlic flavor. It's very rustic, because you can see the natural ingredients such as grains of salt and roasted garlic cloves. Also, the corn kernels in the Philippines are smaller in size overall. These native corns are very tasty on their own if they are roasted or steamed.

So good!
I’m addicted to these. I would always ask my friends who were traveling to the Philippines to bring it back! But now it’s here!
