Great deal, bad photo!
I purchased fourteen of these to make a fairly large outdoor living wall. They are sturdy and well made, and seem like a bargain compared to comparable products that sell for three times as much! So why not five stars? The product photograph is terrible! It is scaled to make the product seem to be taller than it is wide, when in reality it's more wide (36") than tall (27"). I had drawn plans for the living wall based on the mistaken initial impression, and had to redraw everything after I received my shipment. I mean, it wasn't impossible to redo the work, but it was a lot more work than you know, scaling a photo properly. I'm glad these exist, though. I started researching living walls a year ago, and back then the prices for felt panels put the project out of my budget. If you buy these, beware that they can stretch a bit when you are mounting them! For a multi-panel situation, I recommend mounting one of the central panels first, so you can get an idea of how much area you'll cover with each one. Oh, and these are designed so that you can overlap the bottom edge of one panel so that it covers the top edge of the panel below it. Sort of like wooden shingles on a house.

These Planters are Fantastic!
Very easy to set up and the heavy felt really lets you pack the plants in the pockets securely plus the added moisture of the wet felt decreases watering intervals.

Fits great in our space.
I purchased this for my husband for Father's Day. We've hung it on a sunny fence, and have kale and other leafy greens in it. They are sprouting now, and if they grow really well, I might consider buying him more later on. We could fit five more along the sunny section of our fence, which would be fantastic. It is a little expensive, compared to the other gardening we've done, but if it grows kale well, in not too long it will make up for the cost. Also, my husband already has a large garden plot (22'x25') and a couple smaller patches around the yard. For me, it's worth him getting more grow space without taking up more of our yard. We're vegetarian, so we eat a lot of vegetables. But our kids need to have space to run too!If you have a balcony or small yard, this would be a great way to garden a little. It won't feed a family of four, but for a hobby garden or for an activity with kids, it's great. We read a recommendation that you should water pretty much daily with this planter, which we're doing. If I have any major issues with that, I'll update this review later. Haven't had it long yet.

Good for moderate/cool climates.
the pockets are small enough that the soil dries out very easily...especially since they are black and absorb the heat. These might be best suited for a colder climate (I'm in Arizona).

Rusty Eye Holes
The eyeholes easily rust within a couple weeks. Rust is staining stucco wall in which this hangs on. Why not use stainless? You have to water the flowers, no?

Measurements are wrong in description!
I’ve been planning a big project in my backyard and bought 12 of the 3x3 pockets to cover a large blank wall. I had all the measurements and placements ready but was just waiting for my package. Once I received them (very fast delivery by the way) the measurements aren’t even close to 3x3! So incredibly disappointing! Definitely thinking about returning and going elsewhere. they really should have given accurate measurements

Nice idea but..
It’s a great idea but the water runs and drips out of the felt and it’s not held in the pockets. Maybe a plastic bag or lining in each pocket would help. When I water it all ran out of the bottom quickly and didn’t hold in the plant Pockets. I will be using this outside in the spring and summer That way I can just spray it with a hose and not worry about it running down my freshly painted walls

Looks great on the back gate.
Got super hot chilliest in the top t who layers. The rest of the pockets have tumbling tomatoes in. All doing well.

Hard to use
I don’t know if it’s me not using it properly but there is no way I can get any of my plants to look like the plants in the photos I find this thing is constantly dry no matter how many times a day it’s watered it is always drie. unless you have water pouring on it it’s bone dry and the pockets are not deep enough for any planets really I tried growing strawberries but they all dried up and died maybe little herbs or lettuce might work I’ll try that this year
