This book is awesome, seeing as I had never read a manga I had no idea what to expect, but for the price I had to check it out. I had convinced myself that if I couldn’t get into a manga on Persona 5 than I’d never be able to get into one since it’s my all time favorite game. The artwork is amazing and the pacing is great! After playing the games both the OG and Royal version, as well as watching the anime (which I still wish they’d dub), I find this manga gives more of an overall feel for the entire story. It feels like a circle that was only partially drawn has now been completed. I know the story by heart, but this manga still elaborates and brings the story to life in a way that neither the game or anime alone has done. It’s hard to explain but it ties up the story and really brings it home. It adds a sense of realism that both of the former seem to lack. It’s definitely worth the pick up if you love Persona 5, even for the artwork alone. I ordered the second volume immediately after finishing the first. This manga has opened up an entire new medium for me, and the story itself is life changing in my experience. Enjoy!

I read alot of manga adaptations of video games and this is probably one of the most plain ones I have ever read. The art is decent but some charters faces look strange in alot of panels. It really is just persona 5's story again (witch is a good story don't get me wrong) and as someone whose played the game twice already it didn't offer much. The only people I could see this being for are manga lovers who also loved the games story and don't want to replay it or people who don't want to put the 100+ hours into the games but want to experience the story .To;dr version of art with the same story with almost no additions makes this a pretty plain manga but not a bad one

I just reread the whole thing prior to this review. Vol 3 came out recently as i write this but anyway,Lets get started:Cons:1) It doesn't add much to the persona 5 mythos (its basically the game in book form).2) it's pretty bland, needed more combats (but theyre taking the time setting up our heroes).3) More internal dialogues with protag to show how he's feeling (felt as shallow as game dialogue options).4) Not much subtlety, but it is a highschool setting (im sure younger audiences won't mind).5) Protags face looks off on the cover. like he's in grade school.6) ATLUS profits from this.7) i have over 40 series from slice of life to hardcore genres, and this was the least engaging manga i've ever read.Pros:1) The art (inside) is great and stylish!2) On the cover, Arson (the persona) looks good3) when i bought this, it ran me 5 dollars. I Would'nt have bought it at the average 10, but that entry price..4) it won't ruin the persona world (i do believe it would be much more fun to play through)5) it gets better from here (i read up to vol 3, which really is where is starts getting okay)Summation:All in all, i would say GET IT if you're a persona 5 fan or have a curiosity relating to that world.5 dollars for entry? reminds me of how certain people let you get the first hit for free cause after, you're "hooked".I'm a fan of the game. Learned life will change on the piano. I intend to finish this collection of manga just because i have a good job (thanks friends and family) and i like collecting things that resonate with me. I only wish the book got me like the game.Maybe it's because i'm in control in the game, or maybe its cause i know the plot points, but unless its to emulate the art in my works, i won't be rereading this anytime in the next decade. I would just play the game.

I pre ordered this way back when it was initially announced since I'm really into Persona. I had never looked into or bought any form of manga before so I was concerned over how I would enjoy it, but wow. It came in great condition and I was immediately hooked by the awesome art style and overall design of everything. It's slightly different than the game, but it's to be expected that it wouldn't be a one for one recreation of every scene in Persona 5. But that isn't a negative because it does the original story justice all the same, and despite me already knowing the story, I still felt hyped up going through these pages. I'm really excited for the next installments!

This is a very good read to anyone who has played Persona 5 or wants to see what the game is about without playing it. Some parts are changed from the game, yet it stills follows the main story of the game. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see what is different between the game and this or to anyone who wants a quick read as it is a quick read to me at least.

I adore Persona 5 and when I saw this I had to purchase. Not disappointed.Good quality book and decent price.

Persona? CheckGood art? Check...paper? Check!!!The paper has a cheap feel to it, however thats honestly how i prefer books to feel. But on to the important stuff. Do you like persona 5/ persona 5 royal?Why not buy the manga? The only issue is that action scenes are somewhat hard to follow, but maybe im just dumb.

I have recently fallen in love with Persona so I had to buy this. Loads cheaper than some other places.

I’ve never read any of the Persona manga before and wanted to try it out and see what it’s like. It follows the same story from Persona 5 some things are different but not by much. If you liked Persona 5 or Royal I’d say it’s worth giving it a read.
