Another reviewer is upset that these pins aren't magnetic. Honestly, I have been a longarm quilt artist for 19 years, and have never heard of magnetic pins. I have a magnetic pin TRAY and the tray is magnetic, and these pins hold firmly in that tray and I have no problems. When I pin a quilt back or quilt top to my leaders, these pins are sharp, strong, and don't bend. This is exactly what I want when quilting someone's piece. rollers stretch the top and backing tight and these pins hold beautifully without distortion or bending. Why a commenter would take two stars off of their rating, simply because they expected something from a pin that was NEVER in the description, is misleading. No, they aren't magnetic. They will, however, stick to a magnetic surface. These are the ONLY pins I use, and they're the ones I recommend to every student I have. Don't settle for less.

I ordered these pins to use with my long-arm based on another review that they were great. The product is good and it does what it says; however, I was expecting the pins to be magnetic - as many quilters use magnetic pin holders with their long-arm. THESE PINS ARE NOT MAGNETIC!!!
