Lovely plant based yogurt
Made excellent plant based yogurt. The first batch was Alpro sugar free yog as a starter and Aldi's essentials soya milk. This is the inly soya milk I have found that contains only soya beans water and salt. (I'm in the UK) mixed them together and put them in the maker for a total of 22 hours. I checked it after 12 hrs and 16 hrs but it looked grainy. It still looked grainy after 22 hours but did firm up in the fridge. It was thinner than I would have liked but it was perfectly edible although a bit tangy. Second batch I used the same soya milk but Alpro plain as a starter. This contains a little sugar which I'd read the bacteria like. Again I did 22 hours. It came out slightly thicker than the first batch but a much nicer taste. The third batch was one of the yogurts I'd made, as a starter, the same soya milk and 1 teaspoon (5ml) of sugar. This time I did the full 24 hours, left it in the maker to cool and then into the fridge to cool. This yogurt was a lovely taste and consistency. I used a big dollop of yogurt and 800ml of soya milk so as not to overfill the pots otherwise you will end up with yogurt in the seal of the lids, making cleaning more difficult. The pots, filled half an inch from the top, is a perfect portion. Love this yogurt maker and it's going to more than pay for itself.

Great and easy to use
Great tool to make yogurt at home! We have been saving lots of money producing our own yogurt. Keep in mind the home made yogurt is never as thick as supermarkets one, but if you play around with type of yogurt you use, milk temperature and incubation time you can get very nice yogurt. Also lovely ceramic vases

Easy to use, but abysmal instructions
Makes good, creamy yoghurt but why can’t they add proper instructions? (See pics). I used 1L whole milk, heated to 43C (you need a thermometer), stirred in a small pot of yoghurt, added the mix to the pot and turned on for 12hrs to get a reasonably thick Greek style result.

Yoghurt made in a beautiful ceramic pot
This machine makes perfect yoghurt every time. I love that the pot you make the yoghurt in isn’t plastic as many others are. It also looks cute on my worktop but is small enough to store in a drawer. I used a couple of tablespoons of greek yoghurt as my starter added to a litre of whole uht milk. I add a couple teaspoons of skimmed milk powder as we like very thick yoghurt. I put the timer on the machine to 10 hours (so overnight). I then strain the yoghurt for a couple of hours at room temperature. Result is the most delicious creamy yoghurt.

Machines don't last, DO NOT BUY
I make yoghurt every week. This is the 2nd yoghurt maker I have bought, the first one purchased in August '20 and the second in November '23. Both have failed, the latest one is cooking the yoghurt, so the yoghurt is far too thick , cracked and dry, I suspect the heater has failed. I tried contacting duronic but as I didn't order from them I can't fill out the form, or find the MD/CEO's email address. I also asked if i could just purchase the machine, a I now have 16 jars. They would do it. So I now have yet another yoghurt maker to go to the recycling centre and the jars to landfill. I now make yoghurt in a thermos wide necked flask, with very good results, back to the 1970s when I used to make yoghurt for my kids. A disgrace the machines only last for a few years

This machine isn't suitable for culturing L. Reuteri but.........
I bought this machine to cultivate L. Reuteri and specifically because Duronic says it's operating temperature is 38c,' low and slow' is their strap-line on that. My machine operated consistently at 45c, which made it unsuitable for cultivating L. Reuteri, the only reason I bought the machine and which is killed at that temperature. However, 45c is suitable for making other types of yoghurt and this is advertised as a yoghurt machine, so it does fulfil that function. On the plus side, it's a lovely looking machine, is lightweight but feels like a quality item and the ceramic bowl is a delight and so much better than metal or plastic. I was going to send this back but it's great for general yoghurt making and even for cheese making, so I'm going to keep it. For those who want to cultivate L.Reuteri without the outlay of expensive equipment get yourself a temperature controller (used for reptile heat mats) and a cheap non-digital i.e. manual control slow cooker and you're in business! It has to be a manual slow cooker otherwise the slow cooker will not come back on again when the temperature controller turns the power on and off to regulate the temperature.

does the job
it does the job however- the fact that I can't control the temp is an annoying feature- planning on boiling the milk first before I incubate it

Easy to use
The yoghurt maker doesn’t take up a lot of space and is so easy to use. You do your yoghurt mix put it in the maker and set the timer. Wait for the beep and you have perfect yoghurt. I hope there will be a spare ceramic bowl in the future. I bought the jars as a spare choice but they are on the small size. However, a spare bowl would be a great add on option. Great price, quality and arrived vey quickly. Would thoroughly recommend.
