Other fans aren’t even comparable to every aspect of this fan!
You wouldn’t think you could get excited or think much about an RV bathroom exhaust fan, but this fan does it. We’ve had everything from the very cheap junk fans the manufacturers dump on RV buyers to the best model Fan-tastic makes and none of them are even in the same league for comparison to this fan. This is a really nice fan!The controls on the fan are a little confusing to use, but that’s not the case with the no brainer to figure out remote control that has an LCD display that shows you everything thats going on, and comes with a mount to attach it to like a regular wall switch.I really wish this product listing had more pictures than just the outside top of it, the part you never see anyhow. A better picture of how it looks on the inside and of the remote is badly needed as well as a picture of everything that’s included in the box. The lack of both almost made us hesitant to not buy it. The description really needs to be better as well. We were hesitant to buy one with a motor lift because what happens if the power goes out or the lift motor fails and you need to open or close it? The description and lack of pictures don’t show you there’s also a very easy to turn (unlike other hard to turn fans like the Fantastic or lower quality) manual hand crank knob. The dual supports for the lid is a far superior design. The electric lift motor is a little louder than it probably needs to be, it isn’t loud per say, but you can hear it running up and down. The manual hand crank to over ride the motor if need be is very smooth and effortless to run it up or down unlike all the other brand fans out there. The fan itself is insanely quiet, on lower speeds it still moves plenty of air but is so quiet that even standing directly under it with my head inches away I keep finding myself looking up to see if its actually on. Even on the highest speed its quiet and can’t be heard at all from just a few feet away, and it really moves the air.One things for sure, after having used every other brand of fan out there over the years we’ll never be buying any other fan again other than this exact one. Its only flaw is in the operating buttons on the actual fan itself being a little confusing to use and not a real feeling of if you’re pushing the buttons or not, but with the remote mounted to me wall on the included wall mount bracket you never need to use those buttons anyhow. We added on the sold separately inside LED lighted cover that Maxxair also sells and its really a nice combination, looks and works amazing.

Easy install
This fan is great. I replaced a vent with out a fan. Removing the old vent and adhesive was really easy. I bought a 5 pack of plastic putty knives and worked them through the dicor back and forth. I went through all 5. When they got marred I switched them out. Once I removed the old vent I used denatured alcohol and a micro fiber towel to remove the rest of the adhesive residue. This took 45 minutes in total I was able to remove all the old adhesive. Then used butyl tape and dicor to seal every thing up. For wiring I spiced into 12v wires near a light in the ceiling. This fan is extremely quiet but the hood opening and closing is loud.

Works great
I wanted to purchase the latest version of this fan but I didn’t have the roof space. The newer can be replaced without removing the glued base plate. This version is screwed and glued in place. A sturdy unit that has worked well so far

Great replacement for manual fan...
Had a MaxxAir manually operated lid that I replaced with this fan. Because the two fans are basically the same model with different internals, I was able to actually take all of the "guts" out of our manual fan, and replace them with the guts from this remote controlled fan. Installation was about a 2 hour job, but I didn't need to disturb, or redo any of the sealing on the roof of our camper. Remote works great, and has the bonus feature of a temperature controlled setting. Have actually used it to pull hot air out of the bathroom, and it works well!

Quality Fan
This is the second one I’ve purchased. The first for a DIY teardrop I built and the second to replace a serviceable Fantastic Fan in a travel trailer because these are so much more superior.

EDIT,, IT QUIT a month later now it beeps 10 Times and wont restart, , the last one i had worked ok
EDIT: EVEN 1 star is Too much!! I DO NOT Recommend this fan to anyone , I dont care how many good rev there is!!EDIT ,,QUIT a few uses later had it running one eve. and next morning it wont restart, BEEPS ANNOYINGLY 10 TIMES, ( WHY 10 Times aint 4-5 Times Enough) and it wont restart, Bad circuit board!! Tried to just get another from Amazon and Switch boards and use it for spare parts, Low and behold its BAD ALSO does the same thing BEEPs 10 Times and wont run, Another bad circut board Voltage in RV is 12.8-13.2 at any time. Apparently the Board is bad, Called Amazon , they gave me a contact # for the MFR , it was wrong dept and part of the Company, got another # it was wrong people, Finally waited on hold for 55 minutes no tech help, Left a message got a call back. 6 hrs later and the AC guy said its a bad control board, he said he will send me a board, A WEEK LATER and Board is still not here, What the heck, Terrible place to deal with, they should have shipped it 1-2 Days its a $200 Fan.And we go camping in 6 days , been trying to remedy this for a month. Last night i unhooked the Temp Sensor, and it started working, but this AM it wont work AGAIN. I tried a single fully charged 12 volt battery in my garage and it works intermittingly, But with same battery isolated from my RV system it Alarms and wont work. IF a fan that is designed and made for a RV does not tolerate the dirty 12 volts in a RV what good is it, It should run on 12.9 voltsThey obviously have some BIG batches of BAD Circuit boards out there. So I got a BUCK converter Voltage This one :Buck Boost Voltage Regulator, DROK DC 6-30V to DC 0.5-30V 5V 12V 24V Adjustable Voltage Converter, 4A 60W Power Supply Step Up Down Transformer Board Module with USB Port Case LCD Display Volt Amp.It did not work with that either!! What a big waste of my important time..I DO NOT Recommend this fan to anyone , I dont care how many good rev there is!!Original reveiw.:I like the fine tuning ability of the 10 Speeds , you can dial in yor temp and airflow to what suits you .We go many camping trips with no AC now.And being 12 Volt DC you don't need 120 VAC current or hookups to run it. So boondocking is very VERY nice with this.It is so quiet you don't even know its on when 1-2-2-3-4 speed settings., Low current draw its not hard on a GOOD battery.POLARITY does matter with this fan which got me at first, MOST 12 VDC equip does not care about + - polarity , but these controls do. So check it for operation before closing up panels and wires etc, in case.. if it does not work at first reverse the wires. I put it in Bath of Jayco 154BH TR Trlr replace the little TINY, i mean TINY worthless pretendah fan that came in it
