100 Best Flies for Atlantic Salmon Paperback – April 1, 2012

Absolutely uninteresting book. A set of cards with a simple flies, no legends. The quality of printing did not like. Wasted money (already sold)))

This small book acts as a companion and extension of Topher Browne's excellent book on Atlantic Salmon fly fishing. Whereas the textbook explains the origins, techniques of fishing various flies, this booklet acts as a reference to flies discussed and expands that selection. With flies from around the Northern Hemisphere it is wonderful. As I read the text, I cross reference the flies visually. No, it does not propose to be a how -to book, more of a visual catalog. And I can pack it along on my trips with my notes.

Really informative guide to Atlantic Salmon Flies, the materials you need are listed in chronilogical order and there's nothing much in the materials list that a relatively accomplished fly tyer would not have in his box, and if he/she did not then it would all be fairly readily available, excellent pictures and some nice descriptions of how and when to use the various types of flies. All in all an excellent book that sits by my chair and helps me get through these non -fishing months.

アトランティック・サーモン用フライの綺麗な写真とレシピのみを収録したシンプルな本。フライについての評価や蘊蓄が一切無いのが逆に清々しい。ただしアメリカでの編集からかスティールヘッド用フライからのチョイスが多く、英国の定番パターンが少ない。ギャリードッグやサンダー＆ライトニングが入っていないのは残念。
