Good quality item

Cant go wrong with a turtle beach, especially this one and the price of it. Audio quality is great and so is the feel, it sits well on your head and is almost sound proof. Can easily adjust the volume and is all around a good headset, I recommend.

Not too bad at all. These Turtle Beach Headphones come in at a blooming good price and look and feel great. The quality of the unit itself is super and they are nice to wear. I would say that the sound quality is a solid 5 or 6 out of 10. Honestly nobody will say they are great because they simply are not. Especially if you are listening to music or have a film on... but for call of duty they are perfectly fine. If you want a good looking and comfortable headset then these are great. Want quality sound then look elsewhere.

Solid and incredibly lightweight, good quality plastic, and i was surprised to find that they fit my massive goblin ears perfectly - the angled ear cups are fantastic. Better than average sound, crisp and bassy with no rumble. Microphone is very clear, no complaints anymore from my discord pals! And the 'flip to mute' functionality has already been very useful. Al things considered, if you're on a budget these are an amazing buy.

This set has lasted a good few years now but there does seem to be to be an issue with the mic picking up the sound coming from the speakers and it creating an echo and also feedback which is unpleasant for entire in the chat etc which is not good.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Superior headset perfect intermediate level gamers , I had the Recon 50s Which are great Also.

**Update 3 years in** I wrote this review in 2022, after I had these for about 16 months and as I'm here BUYING ANOTHER SET in 2024, I thought I owed the company an update since they treated me so well, (my original review is unchanged below). UPDATE May 2024: I've had this pair since Feb 2021 and use them almost daily for hours at a time. Last night, they decided to retire and stopped working. This is no fault to the headphones, as I have logged over 3 years of use on a ps5 for both gaming and media. So I have just placed an order for a new set. I have had zero issues over the last 3 years, (they even recovered from the Destructo attack of my son almost 2 years), and could recommend them more. I am also increasing my rating to 5 stars because of how well they have treated me. I am pleased to see they are still available and haven't been discontinued. This is a no doubt must buy over any other model or brand. -- (Below is original review) I bought these in Feb 2021 initially as a headset mainly for steam but also to backup my PS4/5 Sony Golds (they aren't Pulse 3D), but I quickly moved to only using these for PS5. APPEARANCE: the camo is very slick and I cabinet them when I'm not playing so no clash with the PS5 blanco FIT: I've got kind of a big head I guess, wear hats 7 1/4 and usually have glasses on when playing and the fit is pretty good. They fit snug with good compression over you ears that cancels noise a bit better than the PS4/5 gold. The cord plugs into the controller of course so I wouldn't want it any longer for sure. SOUND: you won't think you have Cowin or Beats on because the range doesn't compare but you won't notice. I play almost daily and I am not disappointed whatsoever. I also use them to watch movies/shows including Narcos, Loki, Mandolorian, Marvel, etc and the quality is not lost. VOICE SOUND: I've asked and have been told I sound clear and chat comes in clear. CONTROLS: what's nice about this over the PS Gold is that the mic arm folds back flush with the head phones which mutes the mic. In some games, the PS5 controller mute button will mute all audio instead of just the mic. There's only one volume control, so no independent chat control. Also, unlike the PS Gold headset, when this headset is plugged in, it doesn't auto-mute your sound system, so you'll have to manually turn it down to stop concurrent audio. DURABILITY: the photo attached was taken June 2022, 16 months after purchase with semi-daily use. I play and/or watch 5-7 nights a week for 2-4 hours a night, give or take and that's how they held up. My prior PS4 Gold headset before my current one looked like chop suey in the same amount of time. My Cowin headset (for Bluetooth audio on non-gaming devices), gets daily use as well and is barely holding on and I think Cowin is the best out there. I do think these are very durable EVEN THOUGH the audio jack has the fated audio fade with positioning. They still work and I don't know whether to fault the headphones wear and tear OR my son's Mr Incredible reenactment with them a week ago, (the problem started same night so probably me son). PRICE: a steal, plain and simple. Look at the above to confirm. I wouldn't buy any other headset if you're not going all out for a $100+ set. OVERALL: I'm writing this review as I am perusing Amazon for a new headset to replace these due to the issue above, even though my PS Gold are in "perfect" working order, which says a lot. The quality of this set has me deeply pondering getting this over the Pulse 3D not only for the price but also the performance compared to the PS Gold sets I've owned.

Ein wirklich sehr gutes Headset zum vergleichsweise kleinen Preis. Klar wird ein 200 Euro Headset deutlich besser sein, aber was man hier bekommt reicht für den casual gamer auf pc, ps4/5 und Xbox locker aus. Ich verwende schon seid 13 Jahren ein turtle beach Headset (das p11). Es funktioniert immer noch tadellos. Ich hatte jetzt nur nach einer günstigen Lösung gesucht, das Headset direkt am Controller zu betreiben. Genau das gelingt mit dem Recon 70 problemlos. Reinstecken und loslegen, so muss das sein. Der Klang ist gut und die Abschirmung von außengeräuschen ist extrem gut. Das Mikrofon habe ich noch nicht getestet, aber ich gehe von ähnlich guten Ergebnissen aus, wie es mein p11 liefert. Das Headset sitzt fest auf dem Kopf und ist gut verstellbar. Es ist auch für sehr große Köpfe geeignet. Die ohrmuscheln umschließen die Ohren sehr gut, ich verspüre auch nach 2 Stunden keinen unangenehmen Druck. Ich kann dieses Headset weiterempfehlen und würde es wieder kaufen. Immer bezogen auf das was es ist - ein Einsteiger Headset. Ich habe es im sale für 24 Euro gekauft. Was will man da mehr? Top!
