these are a great starting point to familiarize a young child with the grammar symbols. each piece feels sturdy and is easy enough to correlate with the smaller 2D symbols. my son likes to play a game where one of us says a sentence and the other has to build it with the symbols. then, we switch them around and say the sentence with a different word order. he thinks it's hilarious and it's great for reinforcing deeper language understanding.

We purchased these Montessori grammar symbols to reinforce what my daughter (7) was learning in virtual class about parts of speech. I have not seen the version she has at school, but these seem to be of good quality and close enough to what she is used to to do the job.If you aren't familiar with these symbols, each one represents a part of speech. (For instance, the red sphere is for verbs; the black traingle is for nouns).I'm not 100% sure how these are used in a real Montessori class, but what I did was print out words (an assortment of nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.) on a set of index cards and then ask my daughter to make a sentence. Since she had learned the parts of speech in her virtual classes, she could then match these wooden symbols to the cards she chose for her sentence.Since she was talking about geometric solids in class as well, we also used these to try to identify the different shapes they represent. Overall, good quality and well worth the price as a way to reinforce what she's learning without having to be on a screen!

Product is slightly different than what is used in my daughters classroom but it was just as pictured. Seems like good quality wood and color looks nice.

I WAS very excited to find this Montessori replica on Amazon, however, now that it has arrived I am disappointed. The NOUN - the most important piece - is too small! It should be the biggest shape, comparable in size to the VERB plus it doesn't even fit into the well. I don't mind so much that the pieces are out of place on the board BUT the incorrect NOUN is a huge problem.

Just what I needed for grammar studies. Sturdy and good quality.

The product includes all items and a handy tray. It isn’t a baby toy though. It is for a Montessori classroom. The black pyramid does not fit its slot in the tray - it is too small and does not include a square base.
