Easy replacement if you are slightly handy with basic tools
This dryer door catch and latch kit fit our dryer perfectly and fixed the door not closing issue right away. We had a Whirlpool dryer although it fits other dryer models as well. Before ordering, take a clear photo of your model number, serial number, and the old parts, then measure everything with a ruler in the picture so you can compare. A lot of dryer models look almost identical, so double checking saves hassle. It comes as a two pack, which is nice because you have a spare in case you snap one during install. The job took about 20 minutes once we figured it out. You have to unscrew a couple panels on the door first to get to the old latch, but it is totally doable with just a screwdriver. Pro tip: while the door is apart, clean out all the lint and dust with warm soapy water and a plastic brush. It makes a huge difference and your dryer looks brand new inside. Solid replacement part, works great, and way cheaper than calling a repair person!

It works!
I was having an issue with my dryer door not staying shut! I came on here and was happy to find this . It works great and my dryer door is actually staying closed! I was having to lodge a pole up against my dryer door to keep it shut! It was an easy install I was able to do it myself! It pops right in after removing the old one. It feel’s quality and it is made of plastic and the metal prong which is exactly what was on my dryer it is the same thing! Thankfully I was able to find this and it is working great !
