Super light weight and boils very fast. We compared it to the cheaper $20 version (I cant recall the brand but its here on amazon) and this thing blows it out of the water. We were at high elevation with mist, wind, and light rain, and this thing boiled water fast. It has far more burners than the cheaper brands, and so far the igniter has not been an issue. It folds down to almost nothing and fits nicely inside our cook pot. Our pot is a bit larger than the stove itself, so we picked up a fuel can stabilizer and everything was stable. We have had zero issues with stability or functionality. Its worth the money knowing that your equipment will not fail on the trail. For redundancy's sake, bring a mini bicycle just in case (we didnt need it)

As usual for MSR this stoves delivers a premium performance for a fair price. I love how low it can go for gentle summers. I was able to cook hashbrowns without burning them in my titanium pan! Wind performance is excellent. Self ignition is insanely reliable and easy. Platform is stable. Overall an outstanding stove.

IF YOU PLAN TO BE IN COLD (< 40°F), GET THIS STOVE! This “deluxe” version is a regulated stove, which allows you to get sustained amount of heat to your pot even in cold temperatures. I used the stove at the top of El Capitan in Yosemite wilderness at 30°F and was able to boil water without any problem. The stove is light compact fits in my 700 mL titanium cup with my fuel canister and a mini lighter. Worked great and reliably on a SOLO 3 DAY backpack through the Yosemite wilderness.

This feels very well built and high quality feel to dispite how small and light weight it is. The ignite button works great too. Won't go camping without it for coffee and oats in the morning. Has a good storage bag that it comes in and boils water very fast.

Took on a thru hike to replace my BRS. This has MUCH BETTER fine flame control and you can turn things down for a super low boil. I really liked the igniter. The weight difference between this stove and the basic one without the igniter is the same as a mini bic. So, just get this one. It did seem like, occasionally, the igniter wasn’t gonna work but it always did. So I was a bit paranoid about its failing. Less weight would be nice.

I haven't used it yet so I can't attest to how well it works. But it should work well in my Gobag.

Perfect compact stove camping buddy. Love that you can adjust the heat. Folds down for easy compact storage! Works great and I love it!

Der MSR PocketRocket ist einfach fantastisch! Klein, leicht und unglaublich leistungsstark – perfekt für Outdoor-Abenteuer. Er bringt Wasser in kürzester Zeit zum Kochen und lässt sich super präzise regulieren, was beim Kochen unterwegs ein großer Pluspunkt ist. Die Handhabung ist kinderleicht, und er nimmt im Rucksack kaum Platz weg. Ein zuverlässiger Begleiter, auf den ich mich in jeder Situation verlassen kann!

Got to use this on my fall portaging trip to Algonquin park last week and I couldn't be happier. All the stuff I love about this little stove: * Light and super compact so it fits right inside my GSI cooking set * Very easy to set up and operate * It seems to resist wind quite well (mostly qualitative observation) * Piezo igniter works very well and is super convenient * Amazing burner - looks and sounds very cool, and seems to provide very good heat distribution while at it * Wide base to support pot I was not able to find any drawbacks to this stove as of yet. I strongly recommend this to anyone backpacking/portaging lightly and looking for a good stove to add to their gear-set.
