My Spanish friends are coming over for a wedding in April. My friends partner does not speak English. I am looking forward to using this as it is simple to use and fairly accurate. I’m so pleased I bought this device.

I had such hope for this item as I prepared for a trip to both Uzbekistan and Kazakstan. However despite being a supported language the sim card that comes installed in the device does not activate in either country.It should also be noted that while the device searches for signal, the battery goes down at an alarming rate. I attended a meeting with a fully charged battery at 7pm and by 11pm the item had shut down, without technically having any use.In its defence, as a fluid Italian speaker, there were no issues using the device for Italian in the UK. However its always going to be more likely that you are using such a device on a foreign shore, rendering this useless.

Worked brilliantly initially, but after 2 years the embedded sim stopped working and it requires data. How do I purchase another embedded sim/ or renew the subscription to make this work again? Thanks

Basically and literally it is an Android phone without voice/text feature. This little device is a terminal unit only, there is no built in database or offline dictionary. You speak to it, it converts speech to text, then sends the data to the AI supported translation server. The server returns the result back to you. The device is accurate, fast and responsive most of the time. Sometimes it freezes and you have to restart it all.

Doesn't do the translations exactly, sometimes it turns out meaningless things,but this is not my problem, my problem is that I used the machine one night. I turned it off. I couldn't turn it on the next day. I tried everything but it did not open.A black screen is looking at me now I can't send it back I bought it 6 months ago my £259 gone to waste.

I have tested it on various languages and ppl speaking a different speeds seems to work ever time. Great translator.

Just what we were looking for ! Now only time will tell after a few holidays.
