Bosch TI2136IM 9/64 in. Impact Tough™ Titanium Nitride Coated Drill Bit

Drilled into a metal bolt like butter. Where my regular bits didn’t make a dent. These are amazing bits.

Replaced my broken bit just fine.

So I have a drill bit kit that I've had for years made by Hitachi. It has drill bits ranging from 1/16in up to 1/4in. Over time I've broken several bits which I have tried to replace with OEM parts when available. When I wasn't able to find a Hitachi brand 1/4in, I opted for this Bosch 1/4-Inch Impact Tough Titanium Drill Bit for about $5 shipped to my door. The other day I needed to drill 4 holes 5/8in in diameter into my welding table which is made of 1/2in thick plate steel. I wanted to drill pilot holes with something smaller than the 5/8 so I grabbed this new Bosch 1/4in drill bit. I thought surely at the first pull of the trigger on my impact driver I would strip out this 1/4in drill bit from its hex shank. Let me tell you - I drilled all four pilot holes with this one 1/4in drill bit through 1/2in thick plate steel with no problems whatsoever. Sure I went slow .. 300-400 rpm maybe? And I stopped every couple minute or two to brush away the chips and give a squirt of oil to cool and lubricate. And when I was finished, I had four nice clean holes and the drill bit looked good as new. That just never happens to me! I highly recommend the Bosch TI2143IM 1/4-Inch Impact Tough Titanium Drill Bit. I'm going to buy at least one of each size to replenish all of the drill bits in my Hitachi kit. Good day to all!

Good quality drill bits...but the fact that there is no case or any other kind of organizing container provided is a considerable "miss" (inconvenient, time-consuming, and annoying) when it comes to real-world usage. I will never buy a set of "loose" drill bits, sold without a case to organize and store them, like this again.

Works as designed. Fits in impact gun, and built to last. Don't press, let it do its thing.

Got what I needed when I needed it it

Works well for the price, I do not bother buying real cheap ones any more. Very hard to get these drill bits to spin inside the hex holder, unlike the cheap box store ones.

It's a nice set of 9 drill bits that plug into the 1/4" hexagonal chuck of many electric screwdrivers. The bits WOBBLE a little bit in the chuck of my Metabo HPT screwdriver, which is not the fault of the drill bits. I imagine this would happen with any electric screwdriver that uses a quick-release, pull-collar type of chuck. The holes you drill with this set-up will be imperfect, but it's close enough for prototyping or hobby work. The bits are sharp and the material is good quality.

Everything is as described.

Does work fine in impact driver but for thick steel you really have to watch your speed and should use cutting oil. For sheer metal this blasts fight through just fine on high speed, no cutting oil needed. Handy to keep in tool bag with your impact if you don't lug around a drill as well.

Leichte Unwucht im Guß. Brach daher relativ schnell.
