Tried to use it for a science project to create a model of an atom. Washable tempera craft paint would not stick. Spray paint melted the balls... ugh! Couldn't return of course but wanted buyers to be aware. Bought different styrofoam balls (smooth foam floral/craft balls from local (national) craft store) and they worked fine with both paints, just lost a lot of time on the project. ;-(

Just as described. None of the ball are indented or flaking. Using them for a science project to make atoms and they're just what we needed. They're all white, separated by size, each size in their own little package making it easy to keep organized and they're sturdy.

They are styrofoam balls. They are smaller than you may expect, especially if you are metric-system challenges. They came earlier than expected. They did a fine job being styrofoam balls - all round and ball-like. Styrofoam balls are amazingly expensive, yet this mix had what I needed in sufficient quantities that I did not break the bank by buying them. Way to be exactly what you are!

Great deal for you money. Perfect for making a small solar system. I do think I may have gotten a used one. One of the little balls had blue paint on it. Not that big of a deal I guess that one will be blue

Good quality product. I used the smallest foam balls for my crepe paper flowers so that it has a 'bulb' center. They came out really nice. I plan to use the other sizes for other flowers and fake fruit crepe paper designs.

My son had to do solar system/planets projects and the multiple sizes were great for just that. I still have some because just looking at them I thought of christmas ornaments. And I sent the rest to school with my son in case his teacher needed for other projects or his classmates may need them for thier project. Looking and feeling them gives you great art ideas.

Purchased for 5 year olds to paint as planets, worked great but realized once i received them that the small ones were tiny so they did not get used. Consider what you actually need before buying.

Exactly what I needed and as described. I bought them to make noses for gnomes, used a few and then my grandson needed them for a science project. They worked great for both. I will buy them again. Shipping was fast and correct.
