Pioneer AVH-220EX Multimedia DVD Receiver

The Pioneer AVH-221EX radio is an excellent choice for our 2008 Mazda MX-5. With the Metra template, the fit is perfect. Wiring was pretty easy. I chose to solder the wires for a solid fit. The sound through the Bose speakers is phenomenal. It even picks up more AM and FM stations than the original radio. The Bluetooth function is superb so I can play all the tunes on my phone. The CD functions flawlessly and the sound is tremendous. Having the various equalizer settings is a big plus. I think there are 8 different settings with two being custom settings. Even the phone calls come through loud and clear using the provided microphone. The screen even shows your call with the person's name and phone number. I was sitting in the passenger seat and my wife could hear me loud and clear even with the mic attached just above the steering wheel. Highly recommend this radio. The price is just right and the quality is awesome.

Upgraded the car stereo with this Pioneer. Works good. Looks good. Fit with a dash fit kit for my car.

I took this stereo on a road trip. works good enough. has a screen off button which is nice while driving if you don't want to have light in your eyes. The screen worked good enough with the back up cam, until the cam or the unit failed. Not sure which. Sold that truck. I would buy one again if the price was right

Great product. Install was easy. We mainly use only Bluetooth and great connectivity for music and phone. The sound is really great as well. Would recommend this product.

I’m really happy with this unit for my 2014 Chevy express 3500. I was looking for something specifically without CarPlay, because I know those units are less reliable You’re spending significantly more money. This is a touchscreen, but it’s very clean. The Bluetooth connection works very well. The back up camera looks great. It was all a little confusing to install because I could not find the correct plug and play adapter unfortunately. However, I was able to adjust the pin out on a universal plug and I got it all to work once I found a diagram online. These head units all have spotty reviews, but I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I would highly recommend it.

Just installed it. The remote wire is completely dead. It wont turn my amplifier on. I just tapped into the ignition wire, instead. I was hesitant to buy another "cheap" pioneer touchscreen, as I've had at least two others and they usually dont last long for me. A year or two and the screen stops working. We'll see but the price is right.

Only worked for a week and worked terrible with my iphone right out of the box and now i can not return it because i took to long to install it
