Dog nail clippers
These are by far the best nail clippers I have used. They are easy use, sharp and durable. They trim my dogs nails with ease. they don't damage her nails or fray her nail due to being dull.

An excellent find
This was recommended to me years ago by a former groomer. This is my second pair and I won't use any other kind for my dog. She is super anxious about getting her nails clipped and it can be a chore. These clippers cut through her thick nails quickly and clean, to the relief of both of us. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because once they are dull, there is no way to sharpen them. You have to toss them and buy a new pair. When they get dull, it is a battle to trim the nails. My dog is a 52# Staffy

The Regular Large & Premium Large ARE NOT THE SAME!!!
To be clear, the "Large Regular" and "Large Premium" ARE NOT THE EXACT SAME!!!!They are very similar and hard to distinguish between the two. However holding them in each hand, you can tell the difference.1st: The finish and edges of the stainless steel are more refined on the premium model. This is noticeable when opening and closing the two. The regular model catches at the tip, where as the premium model does not.2nd: The springs have a different sheen and possible thickness difference. The premium model is ever so slightly stiffer to operate, but nothing that would be noticeable if I didn't swap it back and forth several times. My guess thesis due to a heavier spring."Stainless steel is not all made the same, there are different types. i.e. different metal alloy compositions. It could be different stainless steels being used on the two or just a different finish/polish of the two."3rd: The appearance of the plastic is different and a deeper orange on the premium model. Not sure how this affects the overall quality though.5th: The premium model felt a little bit heavier. Giving the sense that it is made with more and/or better materials.6th: The Jaws of the cutters are slightly different sizes. The premium model actually has a smaller jaw size, although still adequate for anything other than a bear!!! Though I think you have more pressing matters if you are inspecting the size of a bear claw.... :-P7th: The angle of the blades are different. You can see from the pictures that the premium model has just a bit more blade surface. Not being a professional groomer, I would still guess the premium being more of a smooth cut due to the angle differences.8th: The yellow locker mechanism is larger and more solid on the premium. The regular model sticks when unlocking and locking the jaws. All in all, it would be easier and nice if Millers Forge would just make the two more distinguishable from each other. Maybe it's a marketing ploy to get us "frugal" shoppers to buy the non-premium model thinking we are getting the same quality as the premium model.Having inspected them closer, I will keep the "Large Premium" model. The attention in detail and materials is worth the extra money for it. My guess is that the premium model will hold up better over time. For what it's worth; I have a family member that owns her own grooming business and she recommended this nail cuter as being the best on the market!!!! She did not comment on the premium and regular models though.Having held both the premium and non-premium, I would recommend the Premium model!!!

Finally, nail clippers that actually work
Tried multiple other brands both in store and from Amazon. All of them gave me trouble; rolling the nail, crushing it instead of cutting it, having to put the nail all the way at the front of the jaw and quick slam closed at the back most of the handle is not a safe way to trim nails!Opened these, wiped off the packaging oil, and immediately was blown away. The first clip wasn't great, but that was my own being-scared-to-hurt-the-dog as this is my first pair without the cut depth safety guards. The second one on was perfect. I find it best if the tool matches the paw direction; stops nail rolling. My rough collie usually about hates me by the time I'm done, this last time it was a breeze.Thank you Millers Forge for making a real tool, and thank you Amazon and Amazon seller I purchased from for selling me the authentic item. Thanks also to the reviewer who posted side by side and description of real vs fake, you're probably the one who fixed it for me.

Great value
These are perfect. I have an 80 pound pittie with really thick nails. He is a shelter dog that never had any training before I got him so while he is really smart and learns quickly he hates having his nails trimmed - people, GET YOUR DOGS USED TO THIS ASAP or it is such a pain. It's comical but it takes two people - one holding a Kong full of peanut butter in front of him like a baby bottle and the other cutting his nails as quickly as possible, before he realizes what's happening. He can be scary if he figures out he is getting a manicure. These are strong and sharp and get the job done quickly and without splintering his nails. Just a good clean cut.

Very happy with purchase
My dog gets very nervous getting his nails cut and these made him feel more comfortable. They are very sharp and do not break the nails and hurt the dog. Very happy with purchase and would recommend.

Attention: ce n’est pas la marque Miller Forge mais une contrefaçon chinoise.

Pretty average
Purchased because I'd heard good reviews, but they aren't that great. Not really that sharp unfortunately and still feel like I'm squashing the dogs nails.I recommend the red miller's forge clippers instead, they're much better.

Basset hound clippers
I have a male basset hound. His claws are thick, and he is fussy. These clippers are extremely durable and get the job done. I clip bits off at a time instead of large pieces. Since there is no safety guard it makes it way easier to manoeuvre around the thick claws and cut them short. Amazing quality
