Are you an extreme novice to astrology, thinking you are only your zodiac sign, well this is the book for you.I knew a little of astrology, mainly the rising sign at my birth and that would influence my personality, 12 houses, but I have learned so much more.I now understand why I can't be what I would like and that's mainly, things about other people's personality that I wish I had.It has made me understand who I am and why. So I have learned to embrace it and use those strenghths to my advantage. It is the most simplest of astology books to date that I have found. And I have bought quite a few to my disappointment with the whole subject. I can't remember where I found this book recomendation, could have been in the Infinite Quest web site, but it truely is a amazing and easy way to learn about astrology and what it all means.I am now interpreting my husbands chart after finding out that we are compatible, even though I knew this after 30yrs of marriage, but I found out why. After my husband I am going to do my children then hopefully combine this with reading of the tarots to get a more rounded picture and a daily reading.I can wholeheartedly recomend this book to a beginner, it does it step by step, it gives you tasks to do so you understand what you are looking for and what it means, and you can always go back and use it as a reference point. So it is a tool to learn, to work, to enjoy and marvel at all that astrology has to offer.

Learning a lot this book is super helpful and easy to follow

Amazing book! Great for beginners wanting to learn how to read birth charts. The book is very classroom workbook style - easy to understand, the author does an amazing job breaking everything down. The previous review about requiring a pricey birth chart is inaccurate. There are plenty of websites that provide free birth charts, astro.com is the most accurate free website. The book is correct that if you want your birth chart drawn up by an actual astrologer you will need to pay, this is pretty standard in astrology as someone is putting time into building your natal chart for you. 10/10 recommend this book for every student.

Purchased for an astrology meetup, I had heard really good reviews for this book. It is easy to follow for the novice. I'm not sure it's that great for an advanced student however.I've studied astrology for many years and I have discovered new things about myself through this book however there are a couple things I don't like so much.I got really bored filling out the format for Planets in the Birth Chart section. Very formulaic and choosing random keywords from the appendix didn't help me out so much especially in terms of my many 12th house placements. Made my issues still seen very elusive. That's my only real complaint.I like the asteroids info except I was disappointed about the newer discovered asteroid section where I would have to pay to have these calculated in my chart (...I currently have no astro software or I would do this on my own if possible)....definitely a sly tactic to encourage the reader to purchase their other book, Asteroid Goddesses. I wouldn't mind purchasing it of course...I just wish I had known previously!Otherwise I love the workbook aspect to this very much and encourage it for the beginning student or anyone who would like to expand on their own personal growth

Love so far haven't gone through the whole book yet just confused as to whether or not I should go through and just do my main sun sign or if I should go through and do my cost because I am on a cost. But I'm not sure what I should do because there's an Asterix for figuring out if you're on the cusp or not which I know that I am but I'm still not hundred percent sure as to whether I should go forth with that or not. Not sure how to ask a question on here and not sure if I'll get a response to this but I would like the product so far and will continue just just go through with my regular sun sign I guess until I get an answer.

You won't find another Astrology book as helpful as this one. Even if you have no idea about Astrology, this book will take you from a very beginner to an intermediate Astrologer. All you need is a birth chart, and you're on your way! Not only will this teach you how to interpret your own birth chart but it shows you all the details on how a birth chart is structured and set up, so with the help of an Ephemeris, you will be able to write your own birth chart from scratch or even someone else's, and you'll be able to interpret them. This book will also change your life in a positive way and bring new insight to yourself and how special you really are, and in how you can possibly find a solution to your personality problems. It encourages you to be the best you you can be. The person who rated this only 3 stars and skipped out on the rest of the book sure missed out on a lot!
