It is the book that follows Counterfeit Lady.....you will love the storyline. It's an amazing wake-up call for Wesley, where again the timid lady strikes on her own and Wes has to find her, but it takes him a few years to discover he also has a child. Now to make up with his lady and court her again--this time with respect and kindness,as this time she is as wealthy as he is and in the 1700's, men are not used to dealing with Women on a level playing field, but as always on the last page our worries are answered and agin LOVE TRIUMPHS!! iT'S A WONDERFUL SERIES BY JUDE DEVERAUX. i READ THEM AROUND 30 YEARS AGO BUT LOST MY ENTIRE LIBRARY IN A FIRE.---THANKS TO AMAZON...I AM ABLE TO GET MY WHOLE COLLECTION THROUGH AMAZON...THANK YOU AMAZON FOR MAKING MY DREAM COME TRUE....i'LL GET THE WHOLE COLLECTION AGAIN.

Good reread
A good reread, would have liked an epilogue. Good characters,easy read,and sweet romance.strong heroine,hero a bit overbearing but good.wonderful story

Book 1
I read book 3 first which should be book 1 ,loved both but it is confusing in regards the characters and their life sequences.I had read Sweetbrier before not knowing those characters and the place would intertwine .All great books .

Sweet and moving
What a great story. So hard to put down. Shared so many emotions. Lo e the characters and look forward to starting the next book. Enjoy.

There was nonstop action and to be truthful it felt like the author was trying to cram in so much action that there was no real character development... Wesley is a good example- he's a jerk, then he's not-- too fast to delve into the details of why he would change his feelings...the ending was abrupt ... almost as if chapters were missing. With this type of ending she could have ended it at any time. No follow up on any of the other characters ...

Another reversed classic
Loved it ...good story...romance and humor all wrapped into one book. Highly recommend. First book of three. Can't wait to start them!

Glad I found it on kindle. Read it years ago from my mom's library. Loved it again for the 6th time.lol

Beautiful emotional passionate loving people
Liked the hero & the 2 girl heroines as colorful characters with ethical guts & determined personalities that enabled their successful overcoming of dastardly actions of the crooked bad guy
