I ordered a couple retired dept 56 snow village pieces that didn't have the lights, the only thing I did need to do was trim the tabs a little bit for them to fit, one of the older pieces, but that was no big deal, the village looks great all lit up at night

what a great way to do away with all the extra cords! We have 18 houses and other buildings that all need to get hooked up and the congestion of cords has been a problem for years. Solved. The lights are bright enough, easy to install, and work well for the money. We love them.

We have enjoyed our Dept 56 Dickens Village for over 35 yrs. We were so pleased to be able to replace the needed electrical cord & light(s).

I bought this to help save on outlet space and light up my Dept. 56 village houses that my grandmother passed down to me several years ago. She recently passed away a couple Xmas’ ago, so setting up all her houses this year was extra special, especially since we have moved the past 3 Christmas’ in a row and haven’t been able to decorate since her passing. I was so excited to get this in the mail, but disappointed when I opened the package and found one of the bulbs broken. I’m not surprised though, as it came in an Amazon bag vs. a small box and only had a little cardboard cover over each bulb to protect them in shipment, so it probably got thrown around and squished in transit by other monstrous boxes. I contacted the manufacturer in hopes that they’d be able to send a new bulb, since the rest of the strand still works, but never heard back from them. Aside from the broken bulb, they work just as the original bulbs with the added convenience of having linked bulbs to cut down on the cords and save on outlet space. One of the bulbs was a little short (in terms of cord length) for my liking, as it couldn’t quite reach the other house I was wishing to light up. But as long as the houses are next to each other and reasonably spaced, they work perfectly as expected. In my case, I have a tiny unlit house in between two of the lit houses, so the extra distance for the last bulb was a bit far to reach the hole. But, since that bulb is broken anyway, it isn’t much use at the moment and I have to use the original single power cord for that one. 4 stars simply because it arrived broken but otherwise, I’d consider getting this again for my houses on the other display.

This has made my Christmas In The City set up/break down so much easier. Less cords, looks much better than having an individual cord for each "house." I've purchased several of the 3 & 4 light cords. Great purchase and highly recommend!

I went through a lot of lites this year for my Christmas village. These should do the trick for the next few years.

The lights can be a bit tricky to use. It’s easier with single strands . However one cord is very convenient.

First of all, they have changed these from metal to plastic. They fit the openings just fine, but the problem came when I tried to remove the lights. They WOULD NOT COME OUT. It took two of us to remove the lights from the back of the houses. I pulled on the wires and my husband used a knife to pry the corners of the triangle plastic piece that keeps the light inside the house. It took us 10 minutes to remove two lights. Don't get me wrong, the lights looked great, but I will not fully put these into the backs or bottoms of the houses again. Not sure how they will work if they are left to dangle, but I'll try again next year. My husband did suggest we cut or shave down the triangle piece on the plastic to make it easier to be removed. Very unlike this brand to cause such a problem. Buyer beware.
