Cold air intake on a budget/Excellent product
Was expecting decent quality and that’s what I got, the fit was excellent and tight which is what you want with the engine breathing assembly for proper performance. I Love it.

2002 Silverado - fit well with a few mods
The media could not be loaded. The included instructions were dark and blurry. I looked at the listing picture on Amazon to give me an idea how to line it all up.On my 2002 Silverado, I had to cut the middle tab off of the intake pipe in order to make it fit where it wasn't pressing up against top of the upper radiator hose. I also had to do an alternative mounting method for the left side of the bottom plate of the partial airbox they give you. I also had to cut the lip of the upper fan shroud for pipe and elbow clearance. You'll see when you try to install them.Because this kit is universal for a bunch of different models, I'm sure there's a use for that screw hole tab in the middle of the pipe. But not on my 4.8 V8 2002 application. I cut off the tab with a cutoff wheel and ground it down smooth, then touched it up with flat black rust oleum. For the bottom plate of the 2-piece airbox thing that they give you, you have to put the bottom plate in first (that's the one with the angle part, not the filter hole slot.) I used a silver paint marker to line up the two pieces as they would be in the final position, then marked where I need to drill an additional hole in the bottom plate to mount using the factory screw holes. Pilot hole was 9/64", second bit 1/4" to allow enough clearance for the factory 10 mm bolt to go down in there with no binding. You can get away with a smaller bit, but I have a lot of those two sizes so that's typically what I use for these. For the left side of the bottom plate, I was unable to use the factory holes, so I drilled a pilot hole using the middle of the 3 provided holes on the bottom plate, widened that middle hole to 1/4" (don't make the body mount hole too big) and used a #14 hex head sheet metal screw to anchor it in the middle. I can't remember what size the pilot hole has to be for the #14, I just eyeballed it to get the correct drill bit size. Just line up the bit over the top of the length of the screw to make sure of that the bit is a little narrower than the teeth of the screw. I used a 10mm socket and impact to screw it in. Just be careful and don't use too much force or you'll strip it. If you're not confident about your feathering technique with the impact gun trigger, just tighten it by hand with a ratchet.Once your "airbox" is installed, it's fairly easy to install the pipe assembly. Make sure the screen on your MAF is on the air filter side. Don't tighten up your hose clamps until you get your pipe and filter lined up the way you want it to be so that it sits low in the box and won't interfere with your hood.Pay careful attention to the upper radiator hose clearance because you don't want that metal tab to press down into the hose while you're driving cuz it'll eventually wear through and you have a busted hose and an overheat. Protect your upper hose like I did with corrugated plastic sleeving if you need to.I'm happy with this intake. Nice, fairly well made parts. Sounds a bit louder than the resonated facory crinkle tube with a nice growl under full throttle. Quiet as factory at idle. Mild to moderate improvement in acceleration. More of a smoothing of the powerband and removal of hesitation in acceleration, rather than a gross horsepower gain. After a few days I started noticing the difference on the highway as well because now at about 2,000 RPM at 80 mph, where I was a little bit higher with the old intake and the engine seemed to struggle more to maintain 80. Now 80 mph feels comfortable and smooth. Merging on to the expressway is a little easier coming off the on-ramp with a little bit quicker acceleration than before and it's a lot smoother to accelerate under Full Throttle. I'll be going back to straight piping it shortly to get rid of the restriction of the muffler too, and get back that nice throaty Vortec/LS exhaust sound.I like this intake a lot, and I'm glad I did it. I may upgrade that cone filter with a better aftermarket performance filter eventually.

Snug fit, but fits great
Snug, had to shimmy it quite a bit to get it to fit properly. Unloosened it and gave it a bit of slack to its permanent position then tightened it all back. Works great, my truck is really breating now lol. Power difference isnt crazy as expected, but you can feel that little difference. Good quality for price, easy installation, not many tooks needed only flathead screwdriver, ratchet and 10mm socket.

Ranch dressin
Tight like a tiger, but fit fine on the ol 01 Silverado 2500. Not sure about the seal situation on it yet

It really is a big bang for your buck
This really is a bang for your buck is everything that I wanted and more everything just fit right into place easy to install with a little adjusting the plastic was good and thick and it fit just right I read a lot of good reviews on this and I was like yeah right I'll just have to see for myself and it was worth every cent I can tell it's boosted up my horsepower and I love the sound of it and the look on my motor is amazing if you're looking for a good cheap cold air intake this is the one you want you can always get a new filter but this one is worth the money the only thing I really didn't like on this was the clamps are cheap they will strip out on you if you tighten them down too hard but I used some of my old ones and I went to my local O'Reilly's and got the other ones I needed for only a couple of bucks well worth the money

No gains
Well to start I ordered a blue one to match my truck got black. So f you to Amazon. Over all it's an ok fit. The build quality is ok. They could stand to give you better clamps. It's a pretty easy fit. I'm not sold on the functionality but it's better than running a cracked air box.(Previous owner missed some star bolts and just broke that factory air box )!There's no power gains or fuel mileage improvement. No difference in sound. It does look decent. Overall it's not bad but it's not a bolt on and get 20 hp. If i might suggest it to someone but my advice is don't tighten anything up until everything is fitted in and lined up. 3/5 stars.
