Great flavor, my new favorite.

Very floral,. I’ve been blending it with Ceylon tea about 1:4. Did I hear someone gasp? Tried 1:1 with raspberry roiboos, iced. That was interesting, the color was glorious. The canister is lovely and seals well. Comes housed in a sturdy little cardboard box which survived shipping without inci-dent. Will try the second flush next, as Darjeeling is a favorite of mine for the afternoon. I expect second flush to be a bit less floral. Besides, I covet more of those lovely canisters.

My new favorite black tea. Malty sweet and earth, while being very smooth and low tannin.

Update: The shop owner reached out to me personally and kindly offered me a refund. I appreciate this and have upgraded my rating due to the pleasant transaction. That said, this tea was not a match for me.Rose teas are usually delicate in taste, especially when the base is black tea--however--this tea was seriously lacking in flavor and taste. As far as I'm concerned the problem is that this is a poor quality black tea base: it tastes bitter no matter what temp it is brewed at or how long it is steeped. The bitter, flat black tea overshadows the rose hints completely. This is a tea I wish I could return but be warned, this is not part of the seller's policy for this item. The packaging and presentation, on the other hand, is indeed beautiful and appears to be of great quality but this is a classic example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. The smell of the loose tea right out of the box was divine; the scent of the rose petals rreminded me of rose flavored turkish delights. I was excited and looking forward to a smooth, light and subtly sweet tea but this was underwhelming.

Excellent product

While Lapsang Souchong is certain my favorite black tea, it's not all created or packed equally. This is certainly some of the most delicious Lapsang Souchong I've ever had, the smoothness is sweet and perfectly balances the smokiness. Drinking this is at once utterly relaxing and energetically motivating, perfectly illustrated by the iconic feline one finds on the delightful tin.Conveniently, the tin latches closed and is not too flimsy as such tins go. Additionally the tea arrived sealed securely within a high-quality bag inside the tin, and the tin itself was packed decently as well. My only complaint that this tea was so good I went through it faster than I should have; as such it may be a dangerous indulgence if you love good tea! So you should probably buy it.

This tea is delicious, however for the amount of tea in this tin, it was not a good value. The tin is well made, attractive and reusable so I suppose there is some value in that, that I'm not particularly appreciative of. 3.5 ounces of tea for $24.90 is too much to pay quite honestly. Vahdam Masala Chai tea is of equal quality and you can get of packet of 100 prefilled teabags in a resealable pouch for $17.99 and there are 7.05 ounces of tea in total in this package. I won't purchase this brand again. It's price is just quite to dear.

I bought 2 cans of this stuff because of the reviews, but I realized that this stuff is actually really bad. SO bad that it has led me to believe that many of the reviews that praise the quality may be fake reviews, or altered for incentives. In any case, after brewing, the tea displays a dirty look as opposed to a nice malty look. When you taste the tea, it does not have the characteristic malt taste that Assam teas are supposed to have. The scent when you first open the tea is very mild almost non-existent. I do not recommend anyone to purchase this terrible product. TO make things worse, the price is terrible for the quality of the tea. This is an expensive price point to sell tea that literally tastes and looks like dirty water. For the price point, I expected something supreme like Vahadam's brand Assam tea. This is an absolute disgrace to name something as terrible as this product as Assam tea, much more disgraceful to sell it at this price. If I could return this I would, but it's non-returnable. I would also like to know who thought it was a great idea to sell such low-quality tea at such a high price? I think this is what gets me the most. I don't mind paying about $25 for less than 4 oz of tea, but it ought to be pristine, clean-cut, high-quality flavorful leaves. 0/5 stars

Seriously overpriced considering the amount and quality

The first pot I brewed with the recommended ratio of tea to water was weaker than nun urine. The second pot I doubled the amount of tea and there was surprisingly little alteration in the potency. Maybe I'll just use this stuff as potpourri.
