The first had a tear as labelled in a picture I sent to the seller., The second stool had black marks all over it and a tear at the top. I was totally disappointed that only 2 out of the 4 were in good new condition, and this was a total let down as I had purchased it to arrive in time for a family event , so not only did I have that first outrage of receiving defective items but I then had to go an get replacement for the day at additional cost. Had I known this was the sort of company I was dealing it, I would have kept my money ad made this other arrangement for the day.In particular, this purchase has been very very disappointing considering the expensive shipping cost charged. You would expect proper care will be taken when shipping to accommodate the fees charged to buyers. The seats were not protected at all so it was easy to see why it was torn by the time it arrived. I resisted writing a review since my purchase weeks ago and have been in communication with the company who first of all suggested giving me a partial refund- for items that I will have to replace at full price somewhere else- no way. Till today, despite promises from the company nothing has arrived and no news of any expected delivery date for replacement parts or compensation for just messing people about- another failure!UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW:The company has now sent replacement seats and included a return label so I don't have to bear the cost of return postage.This has now been thankfully received and faulty seats have been returned to the company. I am pleased with the resolution and gesture.

I bought these for Christmas and I admit I was worried about the quality of the item since I could not view it myself. They came packaged nicely and were very easy and fast to put together. We love them! They are comfortable and serve their purpose well. So far we haven't had any issues...no scratches or tears. My dad weights almost 300lbs and it does support his weight, he just does not use the up down feature. I was concerned about that factor when buying as well. I have a cat with claws and she hasnt clawed them open yet. They look sharp and neatly fit under our bar. Very Pleased!

These are the perfect stools. I wanted something that would slide under my bar, out of sight, these were perfect. They were so easy to put together, and my family loves to sit on them.

I was looking for inexpensive yet attractive stools for my island in the kitchen. I like that they are adjustable to fit all family members and can slide them under counter when not in use. Great value.
