Moved a sprinkler head
I had to move a sprinkler head about 2 feet away. I screwed a female elbow on the pipe in the ground, screwed on a piece of funny pipe and then screwed on this elbow on the end of the funny pipe. Then screwed on the old sprinkler head and reburied everything. No glue or pipe tape needed. The hard part was the digging.

Worked but grt rain bird
These did the job to change my sprinkers to drip irrigation using mushroom bubblers so it does what it needs to. Quality wise though the rain bird brand is miles better than the construction of the orbit ones. The orbit ones feel like cheap plastic instead of something that can stand a good amount of pressure.Does the job, but if rain bird is in stock pay the premium to get better ones.
