Better than fish oil pills!
Oh my - we have a winner! This is such a better purchase than fish oil pills! First, the quality of fish oil pills is highly contestable, they easily become rancid and often are too low of a dose to really make a difference. Upon opening my first can I could tell that this was a good buy. There is so much oil going on here! My four-year-old munches these like there is no tomorrow, I think she would eat the entire can if she could. My family of three uses this as a weekly vitamin, once a week we open a can and share it more or less equally. Sometimes it is hard to restrain myself because the flavor is so delicious. I don't know how other people eat these, we just scoop it straight from the can. I'm really happy with this purchase and feel very grateful to have such a nice, high-quality source of DHA and fatty acids available, shipped to my door.

So Good Tasting and good for me.
In Iceland recently, did a tour and had cod liver... loved it and this King Oscar is really great. I'm ordering my 3rd order as I keep introducing friends to Cod Liver. They all love it too... even if I have to twist their arm to just try it... So glad I can get it here. Friends have even posted it on Face Book after trying it. Thanks Amazon and King Oscar.

horrible customer experience with HolanDeli. damaged cans, no way to report. feedback removed
Purchased on the 13th from HolanDeli. Amazon promised I'd get it the 19th. HolanDeli shipped 5 days later on the 18th. 26th is when i got the dented cans. Cans had no padding so they really slid around in the oversized box. all cans were badly dented, one was leaking. i negatively reviewed the seller and within a couple hours they had amazon strike my comment out so it does not effect the seller's ratings. this package is non-returnable and makes it impossible for me to file a received damaged product claim. HolanDeli in no way is getting any slap on the wrist for not packaging the products correctly for shipping. I'm left with no other recourse for my dented and one leaking can, other then to mention their bad service here. After scrolling thru the negative feedback on this seller, i can see many others complaining of the same problems going back for months and months, all of which feedbacks have been struck thru so they don't count towards the seller's feedback score. There are other sellers on this item, i suggest looking thru their feedback to see who you trust the most.as for the product it's self. 5 stars, delicious, very mild in flavor. This is the best most mild tasting liver I've ever eaten and the oil is even more mild then the liver it'self. The palatability is way higher then beef liver. It lacks the bitter that beef liver can have. The leaking can didn't smell off, so i fed some to my dog, if he is fine tomorrow he can have more. leaky can was definitely dog approved with more excitement then anything else I've offered him. So, great product, bad shipper.I'll definitely buy this again, just not from HolanDeli.

Delicious, but...
Seems fresh, and it is very tasty. It's a well-done product. I did however stop eating it, for five reasons:1. Liver is high protein. For persons with a particular biochemical makeup, a high protein diet can cause depression. It's too bad so few people know that. If you have that disorder, experiment with a low-protein diet, concentrating on fruit, vegetables, and whole grains.2. The liver is the organ where animals process toxins. Thus I am wary about eating liver, as I have no way of knowing whether toxins may be in it.3. Mr. Anthony William, who wrote the bestselling book MEDICAL MEDIUM, debunks the fish-oil craze. I trust his advice. He cautions against mercury in the fats from fish, even those which are "molecularly distilled."4. Humanitarian reasons: fish out of water suffocate. Not a pleasant way to die. In fact it is torture. Nature meant the cod's liver to be used by the cod. This feels like theft.5. Liver is a food high in purines, which bring on attacks of gout.

Good organic food...get it while you can!
Well, I sat and stared at these cans of liver for a while...couldn't find and haven't yet found if it's already cooked or not..surely it is..(?)Anyway, after reading several reviews and Googling for even more info...I heated up a no-stick skillet and poured in some of the natural oil from it and then drained the rest off, maybe to use later, per some of the recipes. I ended up saute'ing the livers just til they looked like I thought they should, as I'd do chicken livers...and then I made some sandwich filling, much like I'd make tuna fish or chicken salad, adjusting to taste. It's rich! I didn't use the oil I'd drained off, as some do..so just discarded it..but, I'll keep experimenting. One lady loves this so much, she eats it straight from the tin...that's a bit over the top for me..but I understand craving something that much...as I've done it with a couple of things, myself! ;) Makes good pate...on a cracker, or on a piece of rye bread...with some creme cheese, etc.

Delicious
Its very good. Ive only had it at room temp or cold. Im sure it could be used in some recipes. Might try to puree it and add it to toast. Very satisfying. Reminded me of braunschweiger on first try

Extremely poor packaging
The cans are easy to broke, so due to extremely bad packaging 2 cans were open when delivered, looks like they just throw cans into the box, who cares
