Beautiful knife! Walnut scales are gorgeous! Used like new was entirely accurate. All tools opened easily and smoothly. I think this knife is destined to be one of my favorite Swiss army knives.

Lock feature takes some effort to unlock. Knife blade cuts through boxes like butter.

This tool is very attractive and comfortable in your hand. Also, in spite of it's size it was comfortable in my pocket. I was walking back to my truck at a Home Depot and ducked under n a branch in the parking lot for the tenth time and finally whipped out the saw on my knife and pruned the bitch. I highly recommend this handy tool.

my wife and i spent 17 days in switzerland and drove from zurich to interlaken, visited a few shops, the victorinox shop cought our eye. after looking and browsing for a few, noticed rangerwood 55, told my wife this one is a keeper. so later at hotel, open her amazon account, ordered the knife, which was shipped to me usps. 10 day delivery. had this in my hand ever since. quality, style, classic swiss & german engineering, 5 stars......oct 12, 2015 lcounts, florence, sc...

Knife was fine in terms of quality. Only thing it has no Phillips head screwdriver. Seems a little odd. A Phillips head screwdriver is used as much or more than a flathead. Other than that it’ll work great for camping, woodcrafting, etc. A little big for EDC though.

Coltello bellissimo, da possedere, praticamente da collezione. Quando lo porto in montagna quasi mi dispiace usarlo ma è anche un ottimo multiuso, forse solo un pochino ingombrante ma cio non ne limita l'utilizzo. Affilatissimo, i tools funzionano (seghetto formidabile, apriscatole testato più volte e i classici apribittiglie, leva capsule, etc), è un coltello multiuso da avere in escursione e da usare con soddisfazione. Non è un coltellino né un giocattolo, non consigliato agli inesperti, la lama supera i 9 cm ed è un rasoio, i tools un po'duri all'apertura. Con le splendide faccete in legno di noce, il suo unico difetto è che e cosi bello come oggetto che ti spiace usarlo. Livello alto di realizzazione e finutura dei dettagli. Acquistato in accoppiata col fodero verde quello per coltelli da 13 cm. Lo sblocco lama e quello wenger a pulsante sul simbolo a croce. Rispetto al trailmaster è più lungo e ingombrante, non ha l'apertura ad una mano sola, comoda quando si hanno i guanti, a volte da usare con maggiore attenzione vista la lama lunga e affilata, ma alla fine scelgo sempre il rangerwood perché ho mani grosse e perché è un vero coltello da portarsi nei boschi ma meno impegnativo e visibile degli spettacolari full tang tipo prodigy della gerber, a meno che non si voglia fare batoning o roba del genere. Acquisto sicuramente consigliato. Vale più di quanto costa.

Ich habe mir das Victorinox Taschenmesser Ranger Wood 55 gekauft, da ich ein Messer wollte, das vielseitig, und "outdoorfähig" ist. Bei diesem Messer ging es mir auch nicht darum, das es kompakt ist. Dieses Messer hat auch eine kleine Säge dabei, es ist also perfekt als "Abenteuer Messer". So viel zur Intention des Kaufes. Das Taschenmesser wird in einem Schächtelchen geliefert, zusammen mit einem Faltblatt, das die Verwendung und die Pflege des Messers erklärt. Das Faltblatt selber enthält mehrere Sprachen darunter auch Deutsch. Für mich ist das Faltblatt mehr als ausreichend, letztlich ist es ein Taschenmesser, und kein Lithographie System von ASML, oder das Steuerungssystem einer Mondrakete. Die Verarbeitung des Messers ist perfekt. Auch die Holz Griffschalen fassen sich echt gut an. Auch die Form der Griffschalen ist sehr angenehm in der Hand. Die Messer Klinge ist scharf geschliffen. Dieses Messer hat einen Mechanismus, das die Klinge verriegelt. Die Entriegelung funktioniert sehr gut, indem man das Victorinox Symbol drückt. Dieses Symbol ist so perfekt in die Griffschale aus Holz eingepasst, das man es gar nicht merkt, wofür das Logo verwendet wird! Die Werkzeuge funktionieren alle. Auch die Säge ist wirklich gut. Kleinere Äste kann man damit echt gut sägen. Einen 100 Jahre alten Baum wird man aber eher nicht mit der Säge fällen können. Ich bin mir sicher, dass ich an diesem Messer viel Freude haben werde bei meinen Outdoor Tätigkeiten! Es sollte klar sein, das dieses Messer eher kein klassisches TASCHENmesser ist. Es ist mit ~13cm im zugeklappten Zustand nicht gerade Hosentaschen tauglich. Als Outdoor Messer in einem Holster oder einer entsprechenden Beintasche ist es aber perfekt! Fazit: Das Messer ist gut extrem verarbeitet und ist dazu noch schick. Es ist in Europa (der Schweiz) hergestellt. Daher geht der Preis auch für mich in Ordnung. Daher gebe ich 5 Sterne!

Espectacular navaja de nogal muy bien terminada. El bloqueo de la hoja se libera con el escudo lo que es un bonito detalle. Es muy grande para llevarla día a día pero es espectacular. Está entre mis preferidas.
