I found out I was going to have to wire a surround sound myself, as far as cutting and stripping wires. I am 70, sad to say, and am not as strong as I once was. When I saw that large contraption, I thought, Oh, No! It was easy. I cut the 16/2 wire, that I bought to make the wire a better connection for my surround sound. Stripping the big wires, I watched the video, and they wires stripped easily. I am very happy with this. It is actually going to feel good to do this my self, and up grade the wires that came with the surround sound. I have put them together myself before, but they wires always were cut and stripped. I am a woman, and the tools makes the work easy.

Makes wire-stripping an easy job. I will never use a manual wire-stripper again.

This wire stripper is almost magical in its ability to strip wire properly. It also appears to properly strip the outer sheathing from sheathed cable (I've only tried small gauge sheathed cable, though). Outstanding.

The product will not strip wires . Will not work.

This wire stripper is on par with the finest American made tools (if any) of the same type. The accuracy and repeatability is spot on. I use this on automotive primary wire and silicone insulated ultra flexible wire, and it works perfect every time. I also purchased the extra springs because, well, you never know.

This wire stripper strips easily but poorly. Does not completely remove cut insulation. The instructions say the tool does that and it does, but awkwardly. So I took a small rotary grinder and created a 1/16" hole just above the cutter blade. So the hole can trap the cut insulation and be pulled off.
