Are these the same as the factory-installed crossbars that come on the Subaru winter package?

I don't know, but they look identical to factory crossbars on a friend's 2004 Forester. They installed easily and are very quiet on the road.

Would you recommend getting Aero crossbars for Forester 2010 intended for a 1000 miles trip with a roof load of around 200 pounds?

We've only carried things like ladders 15-20 miles but I assume the crossbars would easily support a 200 pound load for a longer trip. As the previous poster mentioned, your mpg would definitely suffer.
