Works well to remove mortar in tight spots inaccessible to grinder, but not too aggressive to damage brick with inadvertent contact. Still going strong though showing some signs of wear after repointing a few brick stairs.

I used this product to loosen mortar points so I could dig them out more easily with a chisel. It lasted about 10 minutes with the diamond coating reduced to almost nothing.

I used this bit to grind out old mortar on a chimney needing repointing. I ground most of the mortar with a diamond blade 5" grinder. In the areas like head joints I used this diamond glitter bit pin. It worked very well. It went through the crumbly loose mortar quickly. The hard mortar that needed replacing only because of a crack took longer to grind out. The diamond abrasive held up well. I am done with the grinding and there is still life left in the bit. The long length on this bit makes removing a whole brick possible.For my purpose I would have liked a bit about 1" shorter for better control.

Thank you for asking about the performance of your product. I am a little disappointed with the durability of your bit. The flaw seems to be that after 10 minutes or so of use the bit heats up and bends while in use rendering the the bit useless. with the price of the bit I was expecting to get more than 10 minutes of functional use out of your product.

This bit was exactly what I was looking for in a particular project. I needed to slightly enlarge a hole in a concrete block and and do it with some precision. This bit was perfect. The downside was that it had a short life. It worked well at first, but soon became difficult as it became worn. I didn't think that I was going to be able to complete the job with one bit, but I struggled and finished. One job and the bit is done.
