The Complete Novels of Jane Austen (Leather-bound Classics)

Beautiful volume I bought as a gift for a teenager who's collecting the classics and working her way through the movies and then the books which is the opposite of what we did in my day but I won't complain as long as she's reading. This is bound nicely the gilded edges are very very pretty they give the book a very expensive look it does state the cover is leather if it is genuine it's not a high end soft leather doesn't smell like leather either but it probably is a bonded leather material but I didn't expect it to be at this price point in fact I've not seen too many books that look this good at this price I don't know that she'll read this big volume I imagine she'll read the books individually or in paperback but this will look really good on her bookshelf and I imagine she'll keep it for a very long time in fact it's the kind of book you'd be proud to pass along. It's better than I expected it to be it's hefty solid feeling and well finished it makes a great gift or great to display on your own bookshelf. I haven't given too much attention to the paper and the font so I won't comment on that only to say it's perfectly sufficient for a teen and probably the majority of adults unless you're particular about one aspect of that or another. Overall it's a winner as a gift to yourself or others

This book far exceeded my expectations, especially for the price that I paid. The leather binding is beautiful and it will be a treasured addition to my classics collection.

This compilation has all of Austin’s completed novels, so it’s just what it says it is. The binding is very beautiful, the gold leafing on the pages is a nice, old fashioned touch. It features nice, thick pages that won’t be so easy to tear. The only issue I had with my book was that the glue on the back had seemingly overflowed, gluing part of the back page and tearing it when opened. Other than that, I am very pleased.

Beautifully embossed book. The book has all the novels of Jane Austen. This is not a problem for me, but the font is fairly small, so that may prove an issue for some people.

Es ist eine wirklich schöne Ausgabe , fliederfarbend ... Die Texte sind etwas anspruchsvoller , aber wenn man sich daran gewöhnt hat ,liest es sich eigentlich ziemlich gut. Wer gerne altes Englisch liest und Jane Austens werke toll findet, macht mit diesem Buch nix falsch
