Easy install and easy change of filter, no leaks with blue plumbers tape
I will start by saying I am an engineer but not a plumber. After extensive research I settled on this filter because there no need for electricity or regeneration of media. I installed this into a new addition master suite closet. My most important concern was leaking of fittings then secondly changing filter without water spillage. I read several reviews where customers had leakage issues. I did have a few minor leaks at first but discovered two of the three I did not tighten the connection well enough. The third was due to not enough wraps of the BLUE Teflon tape. WHITE Teflon should never be used in this assembly. If you wrap blue 5 to 6 times around the threads you should never have a leak. I was able to resolve all three leaks which were extremely minor.Next was the water spillage. I had this under control since the component assembly the key and height of the water heater from the ground. Since the main water supply had a hose bib after the shutoff ball valve and my pressure release overflow line exited 1 foot above ground outside, this allows for the system to be siphoned off all water before unscrewing the filter cylinder. Once water is cut off then the hose bib is opened, you can then open the bypass between hot and cold and open the pressure release valve. This will siphon all water away from the filter housing and allow for the cylinder to be unscrewed. Be sure to flip circuit breakers to off.Install was easy once I had all the components. Our water immediately felt softer even though we only have this on the hot water. Addition to this filter we installed a water descaler on the main line coming into the master suite and that plus this filter did what we needed it to do. Water is also drinkable. Normally in Phoenix AZ our water is very hard and this filter works amazingly well on our hard water. My only complaint is the mounting angle is under engineered. It is 0.0625 thick and should be 0.100-0.125 thick. The current angle flexes way too much and I am thinking of replacing it. Whoever designed it did not take into consideration the moment arm created if someone grabs the bottom of the cylinder. There should be longer screws sent with the flange that mounts to the wallOh one other item, the cylinder tool is very flimsy and needs to be metal or reinforced better. Over time this will break

Instant Soft Water!
I was quite impressed!First, by the hefty weight of this all-metal canister housing, and also by the quality heavy-duty build. After plumbing (I used Shark Bite joints and Pex pipe for ease of maintenance and I can modify the setup later if I need to), I checked the faucets in the house, and I could immediately tell that the water was softer than without it.As the water heater water is exchanged for the soft water, I think the water will become even softer. Some reviews have said that they didn't think this filter was softening the water. In my case, it was very evident right away that it is. Soap is much richer in lather, and the water is bubbly on the skin.No more tin foil hair, and no more carrying bags of salt!

Go From Flint Quality to Reno Quality Water in About an Hour
The water quality in our little district has been getting steadily worse for the last 30 yrs. I knew I needed to do something when the plants all had a heavy buildup of calcium and who-knows-what on their leaves, and the trees looked kinda sad. Even my cheap EC meter said that the tap was no bueno.Instead of diving head first into a complete water filtering and softening system for 2-3k as is the norm now around here, I decided to try this Hansing 3-stage filter canister with a spin-down filter ahead of it. After a few weeks of having it installed, we are stoked. The unit itself seems to be all stainless steel and has a good weight\feel to it. The filter head is easy to attach\detach from the cannister and they screw together snug and tight. The in\out ports on the filter head have clean threads and accepted standard fittings wrapped with tape with no issues. The water pressure is around 75-85psi coming off our shut-off valve. The faucets, showers, and hoses in the house still have the same output as before, as long as only one is being used at a time. At the pressure that water is going into the filters, a shower and washer cycle at the same time produces a noticeable drop in output now. Not a problem for two people but would be an issue for a bigger household. For the price and ease of install this was a great solution for our water woes. Although we still use RO filtration for drinking and cooking, our tap water actually gets us clean when showering and is technically drinkable now. The garden is happy once again, and the grass is as green as the other side.

Hansing Water Filter
This filter is amazing. It was very easy to install, it took about an hour to completely install. Works awesome just as good as the $1,000 dollar systems. Within a few days we already started to notice a difference in our shower glass. There was a huge decrease in the amount of water spots. My daughter drinks nothing but water and she said that the water tasted better than Fuji bottled water. It has cut down the amount of descaling of our kitchen appliances. I highly recommend this whole house filter.Thank you,Jeffrey Cardo

Waste of money don’t buy it
When it’s time to replace the filter. Then that’s where it’s very difficult and always a headache. There is no phone support and not even a video to show you how to replace the filter. It’s very hard to change the filters. If you want a headache this is the system to get. Also I didn’t see much of a difference in the water being filtered . It’s not a water softener that’s for sure. Please steer clear. Don’t waste your money and time . I’ll never purchase anything for this company again . Wasted my money on this product then wasted money on having a plumber charge me $1000 to install this trash . Not with the time or energy .

Good Quality Water Softener
I had a professional plumber this unit it. It took some time to install but at least I know it was done correctly. I did initially notice a difference in the water quality. Due to the water quality in the city that I live in, I may have to replace the filter more than expected.
