Simple and effective
Update:So nearly two years later, this system still works great for me. Used it to haul a 18' trailer over 300 miles to move house, for hauling building supplies about a half dozen times or so, and to haul firewood about 2000lb at a time last winter.I had to take a little sand paper to the grooves because I let it sit out over the winter unprotected and the ball didn't want go back on, but it only took a minute to fix, and it was really my fault for not taking better care of it. All the balls swap on and off without a hassle. Just keep it greasy or oily and you won't have a problem.Original review:Background: I bought this for my 2000 Durango (aka Dr. Derango / The Dr.) because the previous owner(s) let the hitch rust-weld itself into the receiver. I'm sure I'll find a way to rip it out some day, but in the meantime I just wanted a quick change system to pull things without a lot of hassle. The good:No moving parts: The Reese system uses too many little parts that move (springs, ball bearings, etc) that are just asking to gum up. The Reese I bought before this was defective out of the package, and the locking bearings fell right out.Good design: It should be virtually impossible for the ball to pop off thanks to the clever groove pattern. The ball itself would have to break before it came off the post. The bad:Tight fit: Well, this isn't inherently a "bad" thing, really. There is little or no slop between the ball and the post. Good for stability, yes, but I could see it binding a little in a cold environment. Keep your spray lube handy and you should be good. The ugly:Nothing ugly: This set looks and works sharp.Other thoughts:Remember to take the ball off when not towing. It may be impossible for the ball to come off with a trailer locked on, but nothing stops it from hopping off down a bumpy road, or into a thief's pocket in a parking lot.

Possible issue.
If the ball is not under the weight of a trailer, it falls out of the groove. If I am not mistaken, this could lead to the ball coming off at an in opportune time.

Simply Ingenious!
Simply ingenious! One shank, three balls - no more switching around between the 2" and 2-5/16" balls. The best part is, no tools, just greasy fingers :-)

Good design, works great
I had my doubts that this would work as advertised, but it really does - don't need to carry multiple hitches anymore. Solid, heavy duty design.
