Update-Review 2: I realized that these are bootcut, not straight leg like I thought, so that was my bad. However, I still think the cut in the leg shouldn't affect the waist size that much. I also found a pair of jeans in the same style and cut as the ones I have been wearing, and in the same size, but they are still smaller than my current pair. They are barely big enough to fit my waist and not be too tight. I am still disappointed. Review 1: For years, I have been buying my favorite Lee Riders Jean's, and I could count on being able to pick out the size I needed and have it fit. Something has changed in the last few years. I currently own a pair of Lee Riders midrise straight 14M Jean's and they are slightly too loose in the waist, but comfy otherwise. :) I ordered the Lee Riders Indigo midrise straight Jean's, size 14M, thinking they would fit the same or similar. They are not even close! I am extremely disappointed that this same size, style and brand jeans won't eve zip! The pair that fits me was purchased early last year, and they haven't stretched because they fit the same as when I bought them. Why does it seem like the Lee Riders Jean's sizes are getting smaller, at least over the last couple years??? What happened to my reliable Jean's. I am reluctantly going to have to look for another brand to try. :(

These jeans have just the right amount of spandex to stretch enough to be comfortable, but they are snug enough to look good. I bought them in black/long. They are mid-rise waist and the inseam is long enough to reach the bottom of my motorcycle boot heel. Be aware that the material is very lightweight and suitable for warmer temps when you need to wear long jeans instead of shorts. Best to wash the dark colors before wearing because they will bleed and color will actually rub off on light colored furniture. I liked my first pair so much, that I purchased a second pair.UPDATE TO MY REVIEW:After reading newer comments about additional pair(s) of Riders ordered by recent customers, I decided to try on the 2nd pair of jeans that I recently received. (May 2020) I had purchased my first pair about 6 months ago. Both pairs are labeled as 14L/Boot cut and both are black. They are the same fabric weight - but my most recent pair is decidedly at least 1/2 size smaller than the original pair. Be aware when you order that you may have to order at least one size bigger than your usual size. The newer jeans are tighter in the thighs and the waist. No, I have not gained weight! LOL

When I order boot cut pants, they are often kind of baggy on the entire leg or more rarely too tight on the entire upper leg. These were absolutely perfect up and down the entire leg! Also, I'm a shorty at 5'4", and the length in these 12 petite pants was also PERFECT!!! They fit on my boot which generally requires long pants. But, they were also fine with my other shoes. They were slightly stretchy around the waist and sat at my belly button. I LOVE THEM, and I highly recommend them!

I had purchased these in a nearby big box store and loved them.. went back to buy more and they were sold out with no idea when they’d be reordered so I went to AMAZON and found them.. extremely happy customer! Extremely happy!

I now have six pairs of these jeans, bought over a three year time span. I would have never bought the second pair if the first pair did not suit me.

I love the fit, color and quality of these jeans. I have worn Lee jeans for years and have never been disappointed. I can order them with confidence knowing they will fit perfectly.

Love them...fit me great...just not happy I gained weight and had to buy bigger clothes..thrse are a perfit fit!

I love these. I have a hard time finding jeans that fit right. These jeans are super comfortable, soft, and the right length (I ordered petites I am 5’4” on a good day). And you can’t beat the price. I plan on ordering them in other colors. I ordered black as that is what is required for worked.

This is the 4th pair I just ordered. Perfect fit, wash up a treat and don’t shrink.Blown away how quickly Amazon can have my parcels delivered. Keep up the good work xxx

I'm 5'11 and these are actually long enough for me. I find they're too big in the hips (I don't have much for hips) so I'm hoping there will be a little shrinkage when I wash them.

Ordered my standard size, they fit fine and are comfortable. Definitely would re-order again.

fit is loose and will need hemming I will try to shrink them first in hot water and the dryer, maybe will fit better... Not for petite frame but will make do
