Chicken Pasta Parmesan Self-Heating Backpack Meal Kit

Tried one out (Chicken Pasta Parmesan in Tomato Sauce) before using for travel. It heats up very well, is a very good portion, and tastes great. No, it's not restaurant quality--get over it. Also, importantly for me, it is actually really low in calories (somehow). On the low end of same-size (9 oz) Lean Cuisine type meals. I'll be buying these regularly for travel and am very glad to have discovered them. The price seems maybe a bit high, though this won't be a decision variable for me. It's about 3x the cost of Lean Cuisine meals, but then you have to freeze the latter, and they don't heat up! So this is well-worth it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was. I mean it's not restaurant quality but it was really good. Plus the kids had fun making the oven work. It was a nice little science project. Supervised of course.

Honestly they are amazing I work in the cattle industry so there are times where I'm no where close to people or any where to get a hot lunch when it's bad weather and it's nice to be able to have a hot lunchPro's: they are quick, easy, tasty, almost no waist and comes with utensilsCon's: the serving size is a bit small

I should have known from the awful smellthat it was going to taste disgusting!! I don't understand how it could have gotten so many good reviews, unless I got a bad batch? I have tasted many different pasta dishes through the years and there have been some that I didn't like or were of poor quality, but never have I tasted a pasta that was disgusting!I won't even try their other dishes after having experiencedthis one.

Heater performed well (more like the highly energetic flameless ration heaters in many European rations than the typically underperforming heaters in US civilian or mil surplus MRE's...) Meal was better than their chili but not great - about average for a cheap "Chef Boy-ar-dee"/"Franco-American" knock-off (bland and over sweet with mushy pasta...) although the chicken pieces were decently sized and tender...

I wish I would have taken a picture, because the picture on the package of this meal does NOT do it justice!!!! I was SO surprised by the fresh tomato taste, the PERFECT texture of pasta! Still aldente and not that weird chemical taste many pre-cooked and packaged pastas have. I was BLOWN AWAY by this one!

I love them....ordered 2 just to try.....I ordered 6 more if that says anything.....these would be great for anyone who lives where there is snow.....especially if you have kids....when on the road take these with you....because you never know when you might get stranded in your car.....at least you and the kids will have a hot meal.....highly recommended.....

The heating process is incredible! If only the food tasted as good. I guess if you are camping it's not bad.
