Good quality print. I can only say that the knowledge Ted Greene imparts in this book is one for many years to come. I hope I can do this book some justice in the future. If you are curious about how the guitar is layed out in terms of chords, melody, notes, then this book is for you. Some familiarity with music theory beforehand will be help you grasp things quicker.

Best book for a guitarist

ギターには島岡譲'和声学' のような和声の教科書が存在しない。ギタリストはカルカッシのような面白くも何ともない作品を愚直に弾き古典的な和声を学ぶか、或いはいつの時代も書店に並ぶのはブルースや速弾きの指南書である。 スタンダードチューニングにおける和声学という意味において当テキストは正に自分の求めている内容となる。ラヴェルやサティのような和音が欲しくなった時、或いは弦のアレンジの際、当書籍の PDF を開くことがある。当方はギタリストではないが作曲の見地から非常に使える内容だと伝えたい。 話変わりネット記事では邦人作家を形容する際、べートーベンやモーツアルトといった偉人の名前を冠として持ち出す傾向がある。個人的にそれらの作家の音楽を聴いたことはないし興味もない。それらは話の胴体ではなく頭と尻尾といった箇所に食らいつき書き散らかされる駄文なのだろう。私は本書にあるような、まるで大砂漠の砂丘のように連綿と和音のダイアグラムが続く観念界に沈思したい。この書籍にはべートーベンやモーツアルトの亡霊は存在しない。

This is high-level chord construction by the famous Ted Greene, who is well known in guitar circles as the master of chord harmonization. Few people in history attained his level of guitar voicing knowledge. This book is really intense and some of the fingerings are very usable and well worth exploration. However, some are very difficult and impractical. You could say nearly impossibly. Overall, it’s a very good book to expand music theory and knowledge regarding chords and harmonization. It really depends on your desire to learn and your motivation. I did find a couple of errors on page 65 and 71. The chords on the bottom row should be CMaj7 not C7 on page 65. And on page 71 the Bb7 on the second line from the bottom should be a BbMaj7. I ran the chords through a reverse chord finder app just to make sure, but I humble myself to the guitar giants of history. There is forum.tedgreene.com to expand the discussion.

Une méthode qui explique en profondeur la façon de penser un manche de guitare pour appprendre à s' approprier les accords (et leur renversements) Il y en a pour des mois d' informations si on souhaite tout explorer en reiant les acquis entre eux. Finalmente un bel libro su cui approfondire per bene lo studio della chitarra.
