Absolutely brilliant - instantly stopped leak from our rising main
One evening we suddenly had a pinhole leak from the copper rising main in our kitchen, beneath the worktop. No idea what caused it but water was continuously spraying out so the only solution was to turn off the mains stopcock, which meant no water in the house. I tried a temporary patch with Fernox leak sealer and a velcro strap which reduced the flow but it couldn't contain the mains pressure.I ordered this Leak Mate emergency repair tool, which arrived next day thanks to Prime delivery. Very simple to fit and within seconds the leak was stopped completely, not even a single drip, until the plumber could get to us. This can't be used if the pipe is right up against the wall but providing there's a little space to get the tool around the pipe I thoroughly recommend it.

Useful to have when you need it - quick easily leak stop from any small hole
Bought as a temp repair for pin-holes in old copper pipes and this does what it says. Easy to use, quick to put on, and provides a full seal on small leaks until yo can get the bit of pipe replaced. Just have to remember where I put it when the next leak occurs!!

Very useful!
Great product!I bought this as we had a leak in out attic 3 months ago from a burst pipe. I took a couple of days for a plumber to come out so we had to have the water switched off all that time. With this tool we would have been able to temporarily seal the leak and still have water left on... At least, that was the theory...Last week we had another leak in the attic, about 4m from the last one, I went up for a look hoping to use the 'Leak Mate', but unfortunately this leak was a cracked seal on an elbow joint and this tool only really works on straight pipe.I gave this product 4-stars as it's a really good idea and should work (there's very little to go wrong), but until I actually have to use it earnest, I can't really give it 5-stars.Great price at £16.50 though and getting this on a leak quickly can be the difference between a wet ceiling you have to just let dry out, or a collapsed ceiling you have to replace.Would recommend everyone has one of these to hand 'just in case'. Hope you never need it though. :)

Well made and does the job
Tried some sealing tape for a pin hole leak in hot water pipe but that didnt do the job. Bought this in the hope that it would be better and so far is up to the task. Just needed a temp repair before new kitchen so has saved alot of hassle in making a perm repair

Couldn't get it to work
Tried to make it work, couldn't get the seal to work. In the end we just replaced that section of pipe. Save your money for a permanent fix.

Great seal
What a fantastic piece of equipment this is, so much easier than cutting out the burst pipe section and replacing the piece with a joint or two. Completely stopped the leak, and it can be removed and used again.

Leakmate my best mate
Like other users, I bought this for a "just in case" tool to keep in my kit bag. Little did I know a week later it would be a life saver. Depth gauge on my mini circular saw slipped and we had a problem. The pipe in question was close to the joist and I found the leak mate to be slightly bulky. Once I'd cleared a bit of space I was able to slide the rubber insert over the nick in the pipe. Whilst being jet washed in the face and dropping the metal clip between the pipes I managed to get the clamp over the insert, a few screw turns and the water stopped. In all it took only a minute or so to stop the leak. In my case this is a tool well worth keeping in your tool bag as it has inserts for 10, 15 and 22 mm. It can happen to the best of us so be prepared.
