Don't, just don't.
I have quite a large orchid collection, I have repotted many this year, most in a specialist mix and six in this product, five Phalaenopsis and one cattleya, they have been in it a few weeks now and I noticed roots had started dying in the ones potted in orchid focus, the ones potted in the specialist mix all have healthy roots with new growing root tips, some old roots of course died off which you expect may happen with repotting but they've absolutely taken off in growth. I unpotted every plant in orchid focus and found the media covered in fungi and tiny mushrooms, some plants have barely any live roots left, when I potted them they all had large root systems and now they are mush. Do not touch this, if I hadn't used clear pots and been so diligent with daily inspections I would have lost all of these plants. Luckily my cattleya has a new growth and will create new roots but all of them will be set back to varying degrees. Not impressed. I found a review on YouTube where someone had the same issue so this is not an isolated event with this product.

Best Bark Mix for Hungry Orchids
This is probably the cheapest bark based Orchid repotting mix online, but it is absolutely superb quality.Having never repotted an orchid I was a bit dubious, but the back of the polybag shows complete instructions which are clear and have photos too. That won me over immediately! The mix has a variety of bark piece sizes and also some fibrous, softer material which makes it easy to fill in the roots of your orchid without damaging it. The pack is 10L and so far I have repotted two orchids into 15cm pots and two keikis (secondary plant growth from a main stem) into 8cm pots and have only used about a third of the bag. It is a far better quality potting mix compared to what my orchids came in. The bag is tough so you can happily turn the top down and peg it to keep the contents fresh.Having only repotted my orchids yesterday morning, all four plants are perking up considerably and one has a new leaf growth just beginning on it. I'm now looking forward to repotting my remaining plants as soon as they stop flowering, I am anticipating they may grow like triffids! If you have any hesitation about this product, don't. It's a great bark mix at a great price. There is also a smaller bag available at £3.99 for 3L, but this 10L bag is by far the better buy. Thanks for reading and happy planting!

Bugged!
There was a small tear in the bag when I received it, though I thought nothing more of it since the compost looked good and I ordered it from Amazon.I repotted quite a few of my orchids using the compost and all seemed to be well until approximately three months later when I noticed that my orchids started going pale and wilting. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that there were tiny white bugs in the repotted orchid plants so I have unfortunately had to throw it out these plants. I received a refund from Amazon and a paltry £3 credit, when I have probably lost the best part of £50 in orchid plants. Probably the moral of the story is to send back any bag which looks suspect. I hope you have better luck with your orchid compost than I did.

Orchid Focus is the brand that I always come running back to as it is the only one that is just the right consistency and blend
I have been keeping orchids for over two years and I have several different varieties that I grow in my home. Orchid Focus is the brand that I always come running back to as it is the only one that is just the right consistency and blend of materials that my orchids like; coarse/chunky pieces and does not compact down after watering to suffocate their roots. Sadly, my local nurseries no longer stock this (only the OF fertilisers) and I was not at all happy with the alternative they offer as it had a lot finer pieces and compacted down heavily.I have ordered 3 x 10L bags and they are ample. I will definitely be re-ordering this again and I highly recommend it.Thanks Amazon!

No good
One of my orchids have died already after been repotted with this mix and I had to act quickly to save the rest. The problem with it is that the chunks are very big, and the water just comes through within seconds leaving orchids’ roots completely dry. If you want to use it, you still may, but make sure you use only some of it and mix it with other ingredients that you will have to buy in addition to create a proper mix for your beauties.

Great compost, great price
I thought repotting an orchid might be tricky but it's not, there are instructions on the bag and I just followed them. A few weeks on my orchid is in bloom and looking very healthy, I repotted it just before any buds started to form. I have three other orchids to repot once they have finished flowering and this bag will provide more than enough compost to do those.

Very pleased with this orchid repotting mix
I finally got brave enough to report some of my older Phalaenopsis into large pots and used this repotting mix. they have thrived and I am pleased with it and with the helpful instructions printd on the back of the bag. I have noticed that I have to water more frequently since reptile nd I'm not sure if that's something that will continue or whether the bark will hold more water as it ages.
