The switch arrived in simple packaging. There are no instructions because there are only 2 wires to connect! To separate the faceplate all you need to do is use a small flat screwdriver and place it into the tab which is on the lower edge (in the middle) and gently pry it towards you. To refit slide from the top down so the locator tabs latch and press into place until you hear a click. I used a standard surface mount backbox for this switch. It is slightly smaller than the backbox but it does fit all the same. For the price I found this switch to be good value for money. I would definitely recommend to others and will buy more if and when needed.

The media could not be loaded. This was to replace my broken switch that operates my electric garage door very impressed with the quality and how it looks, I'd definitely recommend this switch price was excellent too

The metal plate for mounting to the back box has screw holes in the normal positions but they are covered by the switch. The solution was very fiddly and difficult, having to separate the metal plate from the actual switch. Any future access will almost definitely break plastic lugs and render the whole unit inoperable.A simpler solution would be to rotate the box on the wall so that screw mounting points are top and bottom, then drill out the metal plate with holes above and below the switch.Neither solution is simple. Would not buy this again.

Good quality switch, but found it difficult to separate from black plate to be able to screw to surface box.Would give it a better rating if clear instructions were enclosed.

I bought this to replace a stubborn garage door switch. It works fine and is easy to operate but... it doesn't come with mounting box. It doesn't fit standard UK mounting box. Large terminals make attaching bell-wire fiddly.
