Product Description After Pain’s attack, the Leaf Ninja set about rebuilding their village. Naruto and Sakura are thrilled to be reunited with Tazuna and his grandson Inari from the Land of Waves, who have come to help. While the restoration proceeds, the Leaf Ninja and their friends reflect on past events that influenced the village and helped gain allies like the Sand. Plus, we get a glimpse back into Naruto’s training journey with Jiraiya, and join the original Team 7 on a mission when Sasuke was still with them! .com These episodes of Naruto Shippuden continue the "Konoha's Legacy" story arc, which originally ran during the seventh and eighth broadcast seasons in Japan. The short adventures mix material from Masashi Kishimoto's manga with original anime content to reveal how Naruto Uzumaki influenced the people around him, going back to the original Naruto series. Inari, a young carpenter helping to rebuild the Hidden Leaf Village after Nagato's attacks, recalls how Naruto's example and his late father's training gave him the strength to fight the gang of two-bit thugs who threatened his village. His testimonial reduces ramen-slurping bad boy Naruto to a blubbering heap of sentimentality. Many of the stories have a small but powerful emotional core: Naruto realizes he could never grasp the pain Sasuke experienced when his family was murdered, and resolves to communicate his greater understanding at their next meeting. But the episodes also feature the rollicking silliness fans expect from Naruto. In "Ah, Medicinal Pill of Youth," Naruto sets out to find the rare flower Guy-sensei needs to make medicine for Rock Lee, so he dresses up in the green suit "Bushy Brow" usually sports. Naruto and his cohorts have to face a variety of "ninja animals," including a bad-tempered ostrich who bedevils Naruto and a boxing kangaroo who squares off against Rock Lee. Obtaining the paw print of the boss of the "ninja cat underworld" requires Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto to don kawaii cat ears and speak in meows. Episodes 187 and 188, which recount an early mission with "Pervy Sage" Jiraiya, were originally shown as an hour-long special. Naruto may be a self-proclaimed knucklehead, but as these episodes prove, his dedication to his friends never falters, which explains why he has so many friends and admirers--on and off the screen. Good quality of physical media
At one time I was collecting the DVDs to Shippuden - it is always best to have a physical copy of the media you wish to keep. These DVDs played well and I had no issues with them.

great series
Great story.I love when anime progress stories like this. The original naruto series was well written. Each character was interesting.Alot of touching moments.Especially naruto, always trying to inspire an help. This continues in Shippuden.EXcept, the characters aged a few years.Which is what I meant by progression.Im not going to explain what each set is about.Just know this series is addictive. So if you get the chance, buy alot or all sets at once.I got all 15 on sale almost half off. 20ish$$$ a set.Im a little disappointed in the length of time it took to ship from Amazon LLC.5 business days just to be shipped. But arrived shortly after. The sets are kinda a ripoff considering each set is 11-13 episodes. But on sale it was a must buy.For 330$ I got 15 sets instead of paying660$.I love this show and will keep buying.Set 16 is due to release in october 2013..

Not Just Filler
Not just filler. While the Leaf Village is being rebuilt, genin and jonin-sensei reminisce past events that were not completely revealed in the first series. Someone told me that to really get the most out of Naruto: Shippuden, one must start from the very beginning with episode one (eng dub) then patiently move through each episode without skipping over or rushing through any episodes that follow. That persons advice was well received. Having watched attentively every episode in order, Box Set 1 through 14, Episodes 1-179, I thoroughly enjoyed the way Box Set 15 played out (Episodes 180 - 192). I give this series a five star two thumbs up ovation for being arguably the BEST anime series to-date!!!!! "Believe it" - Naruto

It's filler but funny
Well, they are doing the filler before another story arc in this one. There is very little forward movement in the main story line and some of the eps are down right ridiculous, but funny. If you like the filler stiff get it. If not, skip this one and wait for another set or two before picking it up again...

Naruto!!
Came in the mail on time and in good condition! Thank you! These episodes, which many call "fillers", are essential to the story in order to know what happened in between and how characters grew closer to one another. Love it! Naruto forever!

Didn't think I would like these "filler" episodes
After the climatic Episode 175 from Set 14, I knew I was in for filler for a while. I was going to pass on these, but decided to get it on a whim. Turns out they add some good background to the characters. One of the best things about Naruto is how well developed the main characters are. These little vignettes just add to that.

Good for background and Neji Chronicles is great!
I would say that this is not my favorite DVD set but for me it is fun to watch... and the episode called "Neji Chronicles' a great one if you like the Hyuga clan. Neji and especially Hinata are kind of the feature of this one episode. Some of the episodes are funny and some have a lot of action. It is all filler...which means it is not in the official manga version of things. This is not the same as the exciting sets #13 and #14.One thing that is missing from all of the entire Naruto anime and manga, from the start is romance...it just has never happened. There are crushes, especially Hinata's feelings for Naruto...and secondly, Sakura's for Sasuke. There have been dramatic scenes of how these female characters feel about their crush...but never a notice from the male character. I love Naruto but after so many years I feel that the continual fighting and wonderful characters need some romance to add some feeling to the lead characters. I think many fans would agree. So....if you want fighting and great characters this is for you...personally, I have always been a Naruto guy...but if you want true romance, this anime is NOT for you.
