Enjoy returning products
Definitely not at fresh as Whole Foods. I would avoid these bulk sales, since you will be gambling on the freshness of the product... Enjoy returning products? Then order it....but the 12 'dark' chocolates were light brown in color, stale beyond imagination with cute little colonies of black fungi growing all over it...

Wrong kind and SO, SO, OLD
Not only did I receive the wrong kind of chocolate, I opened one of the bars and it was gross! It looked like it had been frozen and then thawed a couple of times. I would NOT recommend buying them. Go to Whole Foods and purchase them. They're fresh and delicious from there.

the box they came in is in bad condition and they taste stale
I usually buy these chocolates at whole foods. The ones i got from here don't taste the same, the box they came in is in bad condition and they taste stale. Horrible.

Old!
These were obviously old, the box print faded and grease stained and the chocolate, when I opened one, was white, tasted stale and less than good...and these are my all time favorite chocolate bars. But these are almost inedible. Opened all the bars and they were all very white, grainy and old. Yet the seller won't accept returns. So I'm stuck and I won't be purchasing food items from them again...unless they will respond to my email & photo they asked for and send me a new fresh box. If they do, I'll let you know. If not...I'll post the photo here.

seemingly fine, but when they were opened
Chocolates arrived, seemingly fine, but when they were opened, were all previously melted and with that whiteish film chocolate gets when it's melted and has reformed.

So good. So, so good.
Should you buy this: What, are you really thinking about this? BUY. BUY NOW.Pros: Very good chocolate *bar*Cons: ... the female chocoholics didn't leave me much. This is a great bar. It's not a pure chocolate bar, and it's only 55% cocoa content, so if you're a chocolate snob who likes to appreciate the flavor of a nice 100% Colombian dark chocolate bar or a German 85% w/ nibs, you may want to reconsider. I, however, like some variety in my bars, because if I'm going to sit around and eat 3.2 oz of chocolate bar, I'm going to want something else in there. Like some crunchy almonds and dried cherries. OH WAIT, that's this bar! It's a great bar and I loved the 3 that I got to eat. Sadly, the pair of chocoholics who have access to my fridge ensured that 3 of 12 was all I'd get. Completely unfair. If you're still on the fence, consider: at the time of this writing, 2 people have NOT given this a 5 star review. One says they're nothing special and you shouldn't count calories (I'm not), and the other is mad that a 55% bar is too sugary compared to the 85% she's used to. YOU DON'T SAY? Let me tell you, if I bought a 85% bar and it tasted like this, I'd be pretty mad. But it's 55%, which is borderline milk chocolate, and it's sweet, so please don't fault the bar when you like to taste the subtleties of bitter unsweetened chocolate. Which, by the way, if you're a TRUE chocoholic, you should definitely do. A few bites of excellent quality only-chocolate bar is quite the gastronomic experience. But that's not this; this is a chocolate bar you have a few squares of every now and then when you want something sweet, and this delivers. Mmmmmmm.

Decadent dark chocolate; a healthy treat and attractive gift
The news just keeps getting better and better for dark chocolate!Dark chocolate contains flavanol, the phytochemicals that boost the function of vital endothelial cells, which line up inside the blood vessels, thus slashing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Eating dark chocolate also releases dopamine, a feel-good hormone. Now, we've learned that dark chocolate helps you lose weight!A study released this month by the University of Copenhagen suggests that eating a little dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate may banish cravings for sweet, salty and fatty foods and thus make you lose weight.Health benefits aside, we purchased these dark chocolate bars from Chocolove as a Christmas gift. We send a holiday care package to our friends living overseas each year. Each package includes an assortment of gifts and treats, which we try to buy from local companies here in the Northwest (Chocolove is produced in Boulder, Colorado). The Amazon order includes a box of 12 bars, each containing freeze-dried raspberry pieces enveloped in Belgian dark chocolate crafted from African cocoa beans. Of course, we tested one bar before sending off the rest as Christmas gifts. These chocolate bars are decadent and nicely accompany a cup of hot tea.In summary, these chocolates are delicious, reasonably priced and the attractive package design (each bar includes a love poem!) makes this a perfect gift for Christmas, Valentine's Day or any occasion when you want to share your love.BTW: In addition to this box of dark chocolate bars, we also purchased and recommend McSteven's Olde English Toffee and McSteven's Jolly Blend Cocoa as Christmas gifts.Last year, we bought truffle collections from Seattle Chocolates to send overseas. Each order -- Blackberry Crème Truffles , White Chocolate Orange Truffles and Pink Polka Dot Assorted Truffles - included three boxes of individually wrapped truffles. These chocolates are no longer available on Amazon but keep an eye out should they return.
