Great blanket overall but
This is a well made product but the sizing is odd so you can't purchase a duvet cover (Casper doesn't offer one either weirdly) and it can't be washed. One star removed for these issues compared to other options on market.

Mixed feeling
I had asked my wife for a heavier blanket for sleeping so she got me this. It wasn't quite what I expected, much heavier than I had envisioned. If I use it over the shared bed coverings it weighs down her side as well. Would work best in a single bed. Some nights I use it, others not.

Great Quality BUT Small. A Throw Not Blanket. Too Small For Adult. Doesn't Fit in Standard Duvet
So comfortable. Like wrapping yourself in a hug without having to be next to anyone. Provides warmth, comfort, and sense of security while sleeping. Great quality materials and very well made.Only complaint is the sizing and I docked TWO stars because of the following two sizing issues:1. Ridiculously Small - At 50" x 70" it is only slightly bigger than most throws. It is definitely smaller than traditional twin comforter/blanket which are more like 63" x 87". Cannot fully cover my husband who was the one that wanted a weighted blanket.2. Weird Size Means I Cannot Use a Standard Duvet - At 15 lbs. I don't think my regular size washer can handle washing this blanket. Therefore to keep it clean, I would like to put it in a duvet to cover it. However because of it's non-standard size, I cannot use a regular twin duvet. Does Casper sell duvets? I don't know. If you know how to sew, you can make yourself one but I don't.The small size makes it perfect for children but the labeling clearly says not recommended for children...under 8 or 10 ( I can't remember what it says exactly). I don't know why children cannot use it...maybe there is a risk of suffocation? But my 6 year old has already claimed the blanket for herself and is LOVING it.

Casper Makes a Great Weighted Blanket!
Casper has been associated with "America's #1 Rated Mattress," or in my opinion, the internet's best mattress. I didn't know they made weighted blankets, until I got the chance to review one.First, the 15 lb Indigo (blue) weighted blanket is very good quality. The fabric is 100% cotton twill, and it claims a 205 thread count. What I can say is it's a deep blue, feels great, and regardless of what you think of the thread count, it very smooth. There is a liner, as felt beneath the blue cotton, and the fill (beads) is probably poly as well. The edge stitching is superb, and each of the pockets are a small rectangle. I'm not sure if there are channels between the pockets of fill, but from what I can tell, there are not, and this keeps the fill in place so each part of the blanket is equally weighted. There's a 1-yr limited warranty on this blanket, but for now, I don't think I'll ever use it. The blanket is well constructed, is a very quality material piece, and my daughter loves it.I think the only couple of hold-out points is the price ($179 MSRP) and the fact that it really needs some sort of duvet cover to be complete. If you can afford the price, and don't mind not having a duvet cover, AND you need (or want to try) a weighted blanket for your own purposes, I highly recommend.
