This version is so good they just clearly breakdown the quotes in a eloquent and understandable way, very useful book.

Overall, an exceptional book when it comes to deception and strategy. Even though the book has written almost 25 centuries ago, it's principles still hold a magnanimous power in today's world. In my personal perspective, I found the book a little un-implementable mainly because the book oftenmore talks about swordsmanship, espionage, and overall and old type of war idea. But now, we have evolved a lot and some of the ideas written in this book may contradict our modern day evaluation. A little abstract thinking is required to really make the whole out of this book into your brain

Very knowledgeable & helpful book

Quite excellent. The binding and paper quality are great. And the Chinese style gives it an authentic vibe. The book itself is fascinating. No wonder it is praised by the whole world.

What can I say? the book is amazing so of course, I’d go for the better looking version. Looks even better in-hand.

Good for diplomatic thinking

I am yet to complete the book. For the price, it could have been lot better. Book is good from outside, but paper is so thin that we can see the text from other side as seen in pics. Besides, I am yet to complete the book. So rating is for price.

Ich hatte auf eine schöne, konzentrierte Lektüre gehofft und bekam stattdessen Seiten voller Namedropping. Statt Sun Tzus knappen Lehren reiht diese Deluxe-Hardcover-Ausgabe endlose Erwähnungen von Personen und deren angeblichem Einfluss aneinander, garniert mit Zeitsprüngen über Jahrhunderte hinweg. Mal hier, 300 Jahre zurück, dann wieder irgendwo dazwischen. Nach einer Seite wusste ich oft nicht mehr, was in der vorherigen wichtig war, weil der Text ständig durch Kontextbrocken aus dem Nichts aus dem Tritt kommt. Das Problem ist weniger der Klassiker als die Aufbereitung. Sun Tzu funktioniert, wenn die Sätze Raum bekommen und man kurz innehalten kann. Hier wuchert das Beiwerk in den Haupttext hinein, sodass die Kernaussagen untergehen. Wer das Buch zum ersten Mal liest, wird damit wenig anfangen können; wer es kennt, wird genervt sein. Zwei Sterne, weil der Inhalt zeitlos bleibt, aber diese Edition ihn unnötig vernebelt.

This beautifully presented book looks fantastic in my collection and really stands out in my opinion. If you're expecting a book filled with fierce battles between war generals change your expectations. If you are however looking for a book that will teach you how to win wars/battles and maybe even conquer your to-do list, you're in luck! And Sun Tzu does this masterfully so in a clear, concise manner without compromising on the depth of the teachings in this book. I think this is a must read at least once, and if you do I'm certain you'll revisit this book and subconsciously implement what it teaches you into your life. 10/10
