Really love this facial oil! I’m in my 40’s and have combination skin. When my skin is at its most temperamental it breaks out in places while fending off flaky patches. My skin also sometimes acts sensitive to products. It’s been tough to tackle aging concerns like start of fine lines, etc., while trying to keep skin in balance. Retinoids and other anti-aging products have not been tolerated well in the past, even with slowly stepping up. Many moisturizers/night creams clogged my pores and broke me out. I kept finding myself either looked OLDER (and dry/flaky/flushed) or oily with some break-outs.Always in awe of the way I could tolerate high quality oils in rare spa facials I sought ought the same for home...FOUND IT.Love this. Soaks in quickly, use on my face, lips, neck morning and night. Use on new scars or any other skin concerns, too. Light, not super greasy. A bottle lasts me about 3 months. I’m writing this 2 1/2 months into my trial of product. Not a single breakout in this time period and it’s been HOT and HUMID during most that time. A great find! When I put this oil on my fingers, INHALE the scent, and close my eyes for a moment before smoothing onto my skin...that is my personal spa moment each morning and night. 💆‍♀️ Ahhhhh....This oil moisturizes so effectively, without breaking me out. Also VERY effective at buffering retinoids for my skin...with this oil I can get benefits of retinoids without feeling raw and burned. Also, I feel more glowy and young looking with this under my daily makeup. Never oily, just a little more youthful/dewy...though this may not be the case for those of you with oily skin from the start? Not sure. For my combo skin it’s a dream and makes my skin so normal!!! Love!

I reach for this oil when my skin barrier looks damaged, or when I just want to pamper my skin and take a break from my normal active ingredients. I personally like the herby smell. It is oil - so this is not something that I can put on before going to work in the morning, as my face gets very shiny. So, I usually put this on at night closer to bedtime (and wake up with supple happy looking skin - just make sure you aren't a side or a face-in-the-pillow sleeper) or in cases of skin irritation or high dryness emergencies, I have put this on during the day in the past - when I am doing errands around the house and unlikely to be in public for a few hours. I think moisture helps heal skin, so I also use this a few days after my microneedling sessions, to speed up the healing process.I don't know the science behind this oil, but I can say it doesn't break me out and always makes a positive difference in my skin, so I would definitely recommend.

Amaki Botanical Skincare makes Tsubaki oil (from the camellia flower), that is free of parabens, sulfates, phathalates, fragrance, as well as being cruelty-free and not tested on animals. You can apply this oil by itself or mix it with a moisturizer. It can also be used on hair. It has a natural, very light scent of camellia that is incredibly subtle.What I like about this oil is that it is not tested on animals, and also includes rice bran oil as a second ingredient, as well as sunflower, jojoba, argan, neroli, and chamomile, lavender, and vitamin e oils.I like how it absorbs readily, and lends the skin a natural glow. I mix it with a light moisturizer and it feels deeply hydrating, yet never sticky or heavy like other oils.The price is very reasonable compared to more expensive products.

Been using this for a few months now. So it lasts a while as a little does in fact go a long way. But I’m going for 4 out of 5 stars...Don’t get me wrong, I find this is a good product compared to most.It’s fairly light and doesn’t leave the skin too greasy. It smells sort of floral/citrus or spiced like. Not bad at all on that.So here’s my scoop:I have horribly sensitive skin and often break out with red spots/bumps around the mouth neck and lower face when I have anything irritating or chemical on. Most products with their chemicals cause break outs...or redness.I’ve since turned to all natural ingredient based items.One thing I did notice, yes, a little goes a long way. But as I use it nightly after washing my face and applying just before bed, it does sometimes cause some break outs. I’ve since refrained from daily use to more of 3-4 times a week use and the break outs have improved.Yes I’ve followed the directions. I think just because it is oil based, the skin soaks it up sometimes slower than other types of moisturizers. But then again, I have sensitive skin so maybe on normal skin types, this product is golden.For the more sensitive skin types, this doesn’t cause me any itching, tingling, burning, redness, or things of that nature as other beauty products have.I did get really dry peeling skin around my nose, mouth, and chin this last winter and this oil helps smooth that out.The downside, if used daily, may cause break outs. I get little ones around my nose and mouth and sometimes on my neck. But by slowing down the use, that seemed to go away.So for that I gave 4 out of 5 in that it can cause the skin to break out. I wish I could use it daily as my skin can get really dry. But it otherwise is a good product.

This face oil is great! It moisturizes well and is not too heavy. In the morning I use the oil then put my normal moisturizer with SPF. Then in the night I use after washing my face by itself or with my normal moisturizer on top. Its light and penetrates through the dry areas leaving it soft and supple. The oil does not irritate my eczema. I have seen a huge difference in that my dry patches are gone and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. I highly recommend. I just ordered my 2nd bottle. For me, one bottle lasted 2 months. The price is also great compared to other facial oils I've tried that don't moisturize as well.
