Komelon ML1212 Meter-Man 4-Inch Measuring Wheel, Silver

Bought this measuring wheel as a track coach to measure distance outdoors on both a track surface and grass. The wheel does a good job, measuring only in feet. The extendable column is great for travel, as the wheel fits easily into my backpack when fully compacted. Good for the price, although I am disappointed that I could not find a measuring wheel in meters for a similar price and quality. I will not dent this wheel down for not being available in meters, although that would be a fantastic value.

I bought this to help accurately measure distances my patients walk for Home Care PT and I love how easy it is to use. It has a 2 part extendable handle that is probably 36 inches fully extended, which I appreciate at 6’1” height. No stooping over as I’m telling my patient to “stand up straighter”! It has 2 “washers” you twist to tighten/ loosen to adjust to users height. I can store it rather easily in my zippered tote bag at shortest height of approx 16-18”, the tip of the handle sticks out about an inch but I can close zipper so items don’t fall out of when I toss tote bag in the car. You easily reset the counter to zero by simply pressing a spring loaded button. It’s lightweight and doesn’t make my bag heavier to carry yet made with durable materials making it easy and comfortable to use. The wheel is rubber so it maintains a grip on all surfaces for accurate results and plastic handle easy to grip.

I needed something to measure so my son could practice running his 60 (he plays baseball) and I decided to try this product. I will say I definitely compared this to similar device ps because I was leery due to the price being so inexpensive. I was thinking it’s probably not very well made and not going to be accurate. I ended up ordering it and was very pleasantly surprised. It works great and was exactly what I needed. I’ve also used it for other things I’ve needed to measure distances for. I also love how it folds up and is light and easy to take on the go.

Great product, works for what I need it for. Measure distance for running. A bigger wheel would be nice though, so next time I purchase one I will probably do that. Other than that it works perfect! No complaints

We were in the market for a new Measuring device because the one we had given out on us. I searched EVERYWHERE, read reviews, compared prices, and decided to take the leap of faith and purchased the Komelon! NEVER TURNED BACK! We own a carpet cleaning business and we got one of the laser measuring devices but it was giving us bad readings. We needed something reliable and with this you dont have to worry about batteries! So many things RIGHT with this product: - VERY portable - Takes Quick Measurements -Measures in tenths of a foot After about 60 ft it tends to become inaccurate. What we have done is measure 3 times and take the average. If you are looking for exact measurements go with a high quality laser measuring device. ***I previously reviewed this product March 26, 2014 and wanted to update... This product is STILL Going strong and we use it almost DAILY!

I bought this because I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on something I was only going to use a few times and this fit the bill. The instructions say it’s not for outdoor use but I used it gently on firm soil and it worked perfect. I cleaned it after and it’s all good. I can’t report on the accuracy because I was up and down on rocky terrain but it looked to be close to my rough guesstimates. It’s built fairly well and should hold up for years of random use. I think it’s a pretty nice tool to have.

Bought this to measure flag football fields. It got the job done but consistently got caught up on grass. I will continue to use and update review if it preforms better. Pros - Light - Breaks down into compactable size to hide away - simplistic - Works great on carpet, concrete, or other flat surfaces Cons - Wheel too small for outside grass (Small wheel had a hard time in fresh cut grass that wasn't higher than an inch or two. a wheel just a half inch bigger would have gotten the job done better. )

(Apologies in advance for the imperial vs metric) A 30 cm (12 inch) ruler measures 1 ft 5 inches, which sounds closer to what it would be if the 4 inch wheel was supposed to be a 6 inch wheel .. ? Also, the diameter of the wheel is 96 mm (3.78 inches) not 4 inches. Terrible.

Very portable, which is why I got the smallest one. And still works very well. You do have to watch that it doesn’t tilt in your hand towards. If it had two wheels it would be more stable. But I appreciate its small size and light weight

I need to measure ramps at our warehouse, tape measure is no good for this curve surface. But this wheel measure works, easy to use, smart design, accurate results.
