It's the first time I have used raffia for a craft project. It was quite a work out for my hands and fingers using a crochet hook but I am pleased with the initial results. The raffia is strong yet pliable. I have ordered another two reels of this brand.

On my first attempt, making a bag, the raffia was hard to work with. sore hands and fingers as there's is no stretch. My tension was all over the place. I pulled it out after a couple of weeks needing time for my hands and fingers to recover.I decided to give it another go.and, so far so good...This raffia is pretty good. I've bought 3 rolls so far, hoping this will complete my project

To save me going in and out to my recycling bins all the time, I collect paper for recycling in a paper carrier bag and tie it up with this paper raffia once a fortnight when the council come to collect it. This really works for me, saves me lots of time and is all recyclable. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this item for the colour displayed, reflective of what is commonly the lighter, natural colour of raffia. The colour delivered was a much dirtier brown colour, unusuble.

Used it to mend my French market basket, which it did beautifully so saving me lots of money because I didn’t need to buy a new basket and was able to recycle my old basket - something I love to do.
