Summer Color Self Tanning Lotion, 6oz | Light Medium Color for All Skin Tones, Self Tanner Lotion, Sunless Tan, 6oz

I've been using this brand of sunless tanner for over ten years and I won't use anything else. It looks natural, it doesn't smell bad, and the price is awesome. You don't need anything more expensive. This works great. I am quite fair skinned and I get the Fair/Medium shade. It only takes about 2 applications to get natural color and it deepens with each additional application. It's easy to adjust the depth of color with how often and how much you apply. This blends so nicely. No streaking.

[ ] First, history. I used to fry myself on the beach; the tan would normally appear after the “lobster tan”, that’s just my pale skin’s natural reaction to sun. Then I “grew up”: daily 70 spf sunblock, hats, shade preference, trips to dermatologists. While my skin never looked better than now, I miss the sun-kissed days! [ ] Process: This is the second time in my life that I used a self tanner. Once was another brand a few years back, didn’t care for the result. So last night I exfoliated (exfoliating gloves, not just a scrub) and used the mittens to apply the tanning cream, all over except face/neck. Rubbed the back of my hands behind my knees as one reviewer recommended (great idea!) This morning, I see somewhat subtle but sure natural looking tan. Looks like you got in the sun for a day, without sunscreen. I missed some spots on top of my feet and thus able to see how tan I got everywhere. One of the elbows got too dark (even though I moisturize my skin daily) and similar darker areas around my ankles -so better to either avoid the areas like that, or moisturize prior. Also noticed it makes any dark marks look slightly darker. So yes, I intend to layer today again (avoiding elbows, and moisturize ankles prior to tan lotion) and see more tan. [ ] Smell. To me, it does smell like the tanning lotions do, but not as potent at all. [ ] Streaking. Nothing! All even. [ ] Moisturizing. Unsure why so many reviewers mention that it’s moisturizing. They never tried vaseline essential healing lol. This is ‘not drying’, that’s about it. Which is pretty good for a product like this. I woke up in the morning, and moisturized all over because it didn’t feel like my skin got enough. [ ] New vs old formula. Unsure what the Old formula was like that so many complaining about. Attached is the photo of what was received, and I love it. For almost a first time user it exceeded the expectations. [ ] Clean After I applied the cream I let it completely dry. It doesn’t leave marks on furniture. Did not stain the sheets. Face and neck- I use a Jergens tanning product on my face, as I believe that something that wasn’t intended for tour face will clog the pores and do more damage than good. Sounds like some reviewers apply on their face. After spending all my cash for esthetics at my dermatologist office, I’d much rather spend $10 for a product formulated specifically for faces 😃

the instant color is nice except if you put the lotion on somewhere that has folds of skin (like a stomach) or you sweat before the product dries. its been warm here and I found a weird sweat/drip mark on my upper leg, another on my chest and one on my lower leg. but otherwise, its great and the smell isn't 'chemically' like other self tanners are.

Best sunless tanner

This product was a replacement for an earlier order that had never delivered. Thanks for the prompt response to my inquiry and I am thrilled to get this! It works great, gradually building up the "tan" over a few days of application.

I have used Banana Boat self-tanning lotion in the past and was happy with the results. The lotion evidently had brown dye added so I would immediately see results in just one application. After 3 applications my skin would be transformed from pasty white to an almost-real looking golden summer tan. ☀️😎 The dye in the lotion did the trick, but would also stain anything light colored that it came in contact with. These stains usually washed out easily however. Running low on this self-tanning lotion I ordered what I though was the same lotion, but received a bottle with "New Look" printed on it and a cap that was now blue instead of brown like the original. The lotion itself was also now white and not brown like what I have used in the past. No big deal I thought, products change and usually get better with new formulas so I applied my first coating in preparation for my fake beach tan. A day later, I could see almost no difference. So onto the next application, this time I could detect just a little bit of color the next day... or is that a bruise? 🤔 On the 3rd day I decided to apply one last coating before I tossed this "New Look" Banana Boat self-tanning lotion in the trash... and this time I finally saw some results. Basically, it took 3 applications to get roughly the same results that I got from just one application of the original formula. I am not sure if I am going to stick with Banana Boat after using up this bottle. One positive note is the new white lotion is less apt to stain clothing and fabric. I included a picture below showing the original formula bottle (brown cap) and the new formula bottle (blue cap).

This is the best self tanning product I have ever found. It's hard to find in stores so I order from Amazon. If you apply evenly, there is no streaking, and the color looks very natural (I use light to medium).

My daughter loves it. No streaks whatsoever. She used it for volleyball.
