Premier Japan Organic Wheat Free Sauce Teriyaki, 8.5 Ounce

As someone who has been to the best Japanese restaurants in NYC, I certainly know what a good/excellent Teriyaki sauce is all about, and this one doesn't even get close. That said, this is a VERY POOR WANNABE!!! Frankly, this company should stop making this product as it's a bad pretender, or perhaps they should just go out of business, instead of ripping people off with such INFERIOR QUALITY. So, NO, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING PRODUCT.

I ordered this on a Thursday and even though they said it would not be in until the following week it came in Saturday. Big surprise. I've only used it once so far on beef and the flavor was good. Look forward to trying it on chicken next.

This Teriyaki sauce is great Italian dressing, but terrible Teriyaki sauce. If you are looking for a gluten free version of Teriyaki sauce, look elsewhere, because whatever this is, it isn't Teriyaki.

You can tell by the color that this teriyaki sauce is a little different from what you're used to in the teriyaki sauces that have gluten. However, in this case Different Is Better! I have used this sauce in recipes that call for teriyaki, always great in every recipe. The surprise is, this sauce can be used as a stand-alone -- by itself, without any other ingredients, it makes a great marinade. Granted, it's a little thicker than traditional teriyaki sauces, so if you need it thinner you might want to add a little water. But this stuff really ROCKS. My very picky hubby who does not have to avoid gluten and typically turns his nose up at gluten-free stuff actually prefers this teriyaki sauce over all others.One of the most challenging aspects of going gluten free is figuring out which of the old favorite foods can be converted to a gluten free version that tastes like the old thing. This product makes that possible. I have it on Subscribe & Save to keep my pantry stocked, a completely even substitution, gluten free (GF), safe for Celiac Disease sufferers. AWESOME that it's made of rice grown IN THE USA by a USA company! Great way to help our economy and keep American workers employed :-)Whenever you cook with GF pastas, YOU MUST COOL IMMEDIATELY when it's al dente to prevent it from overcooking and falling apart to mush. This is a different technique than cooking with wheat-based pastas, but pastas that are rice-based have to be managed differently, for good reason. I'd wager the reviewers who have slammed this product didn't cool it immediately. It doesn't have to be cold, but you do have to drop it below the cooking temperature, so drain it and return it to the pan and fill the pan with lukewarm tap water. The heat from the pan will keep it at a good serving temperature, but the lukewarm tap water will cool the pasta below cooking temperature to keep it from breaking down. Tastes great! Had it on some pan seared salmon. Added an exceptional dimension of flavour.

Taste is worse than the smell - what a disappointment. I was really looking forward to enjoying it.
