Needs a lil work but great lil plane for the money
Planes a lil rough around the edges and needs a lil tuning up, which is to be expected. It works good out of the box but works great after tuning and sharpening. The iron is nice and thick on this one

Excellent value!
This little plane is all that I'd hoped. I believe one would have to spend a lot more money to do any better. Ergonomically it works for me as it is small enough to get into tight places yet the raised handle allows me to palm it so my fingers don't have to do all the work to keep it true and pushng at the same time. The sole is flat, the blade is thick and well machined. Out of the package it was reasonably sharp, maybe even usable but there were visible machining marks on the back of the iron and on the bevel. Several minutes on a diamond stone showed the back to be flat and removed the machining marks. The bevel cleaned up even more quickly and a quick hone got it where it should be. I tested it on some hard and soft wood easily taking of full width shavings a couple of thousandths thick. The better news is it holds its edge well. It is good steel.I bought this primarily for working on guitars, mostly for the initial shaping of braces and other small surface, but I can already tell it is going to get far more use than that. I've reached for it to put on a quick chamfer here and there, round a few other parts, and clean up glue lines. I find myself reaching for it so often I may hang it on a lanyard around my neck!I have no hesitation in recommending this plane for any task where a small flat plane will do the job. The next step up would carving/finger planes but unless/until you need a convex blade, this will do the trick.

More Useful than I Thought
It did take a bit of effort to flatten the sole, that’s no biggie for an inexpensive plane. The blade wasn’t flat but it didn’t take much effort to sharpen and lap it. Not the best fit and finish. Now the good part, it’s so doggone handy! I should have bought one of these years ago. If you build guitars, make models or doll houses, install trim, or make small projects this plane is a necessity. It just takes a little time and effort to true it up, but then you have a great little plane.Recommended, I would buy it again.

Time and love=a great tool
Let me say I am very new to woodworking. This little guy is literally the very first plane I have ever bought. And I really didn’t know what I was getting. My girlfriend thought I had been ripped off when she seen it come out of the box. But I knew. Oh yeah I knew better. I watched some You tube videos and went to flattening and sharpening. A few hours later and it was making shavings thinner than paper fly. I love it. One amazing little tool if you put some time and love into it. I bought a cheap #4 afterward to help me with some bigger stuff but this dude is alway my finisher.

Perfect Pocket Plane
This Kunz Pocket Plane is an amazing little tool. I am a prolific DYIer that tackles projects of all sorts. After trying several planes over the years, I came across this one on Amazon and decided to give it a try. Within days I used it for planing some small quarter round to trim cabinetry as well as shave off a bunch of nasty vinyl floor backing stuck to the floor which needed to be removed before a new floor install (obviously not a nice task for this tool or what it was intended for, but sometimes you have to see the potential). This little plane performed marvelously. Super easy to adjust. Takes and holds an edge well. Small enough to keep in my traveling tool box, so it's always available (as opposed to my larger ones that largely stay in my shop).Overall, I'd say this is one of the best tools I've purchased in 5 years. Well designed, excellent build quality, simple to operate, and not a crazy high price. Can't ask for much more.

Great little tool
Don't let the low price put you off; this little guy is the Mora #2 of planes, which is to say it's an outstandingly useful tool, and you can pay ten times as much before you get a better tool. The iron is good tool steel, well tempered without flaws. It's held in place by a simple screw, but it's both easily adjusted and tends to stay put. This plane lives in the pocket of my shop apron. Because it's so manageable with one hand, I use it constantly for all kinds of small jobs: trimming edges, shoulders, tenons, even rough planing small pieces of stock, It's nearly as useful as a spokeshave for work on axe handles, canoe paddles, chair spindles, and similar work. I plan to buy another, open the throat and regrind the blade as a miniature roughing plane. Heck, I might buy two.

Excellent Small Plane
I have some other small planes that are a bit challenging to get a good finger hold to make good cuts. They don't get used anymore. I love the squirrel handle addition to this plane. The top of the handle registers just in the palm of my hand as my fingers grasp the side. It makes the plane much easier to handle for me. The tail also keeps my hand off the top of the blade, preventing errant adjustments. It requires a little work to flatten the sole, clean up the cap iron, and hone the blade. You also need to know how to make depth/skew adjustments with a plane hammer (easy with a little practice). I can adjust it to use as a minnie smoother and get blade width tissue thin shavings. Primarily I use it for small chamfers and edging/jointing thin boards. With a sharp blade it will handle end grain. An excellent value at this price!

Abut what you'd expect/
Its made in Germany, and needs final sharpening and honing before use, and handles and planes like you would expect from a small plane, the handle helps. I have two other planes of the same size made by General but without the handle. The handle really helps guide it in corners and other limited access applications.
