Perfect Fit
A perfect fit for any Innovative Marine Aquariums. Make sure to keep an eye on them in case anything gets caught in them that does not allow water to flow into the sump properly as it can cause a heightened water level and possible overflow.

Fits Concept Encore 20 Pro
A perfect fit for my Innovative Marine Concept Encore 20 Pro. No Mods needed. But i will be raising cherry shrimp so i will have to retrofit an even finer holes using netting so baby shrimp will not venture through. Holes are small enough that adults and maybe juvenile shrimp wont be able to go through. But babies will definitely be able to go through.

Fits Perfect
It fits just perfect on my Innovative Marine Fusion Lagoon 25g.The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it slower the intake. Which is understandable why.The quality is great and the fittings.

Added to 50 Gallon Innovative Marine AIO tank
I do notice a bit of reduced flow with this in place but nothing that is causing me any problems. It's possible this could be an issue on smaller tanks. One of the two guards that came in the pack was warped and I'm pretty sure shrimp will still be able to get through it. Wasn't super happy about that especially given that this costs $20 for two pieces of molded plastic. On the other hand, it has prevented my smaller fish from swimming into the filter area, and it is a HUGE pain in the neck to catch them and get them out of that area.Overall I'd probably buy this again because it did fix my main problem which was my ember tetras escaping into the filter.

Keep fish out of the overflow!
First off, using this on a Fusion Nuvo 10 nano. This does what it is designed to do, it keeps fish out of the overflows. So 5 stars there. They are decently built and work. What else can you ask for in a product? One downside to this product is the surface skimming capacity of the overflow is highly reduced. To clear the surface of the oily film I do have to remove the guard for 10-15 mins.

These Fish Guards markedly lower water return -- which can cause insoluble filtration problems with even lightly planted tanks
Whether these small sized Fish Guards will work properly may depend upon having almost no living material in your aquarium. In my low-tech, fresh water shrimp and snail tank, the Fish Guards promoted the quick buildup of unsightly surface scum.Note that my setup is not a stock one. Filtration of the Innovative Marine Lagoon 25 is accomplished by an Eheim Professionel 4+ 250 canister filter. The canister's intake is located in the all-in-one aquarium' sump, just as the (discarded) stock pump's intake would be. Water has to flow from the main tank through both overflows, so as to be filtered. As almost everyone else has reported, the Fish Guards dramatically slow water return. So much so that, at full power, my cannister was pumping water out of the sump and into the aquarium faster than the return flows could keep up. That meant that cannister's intake was running the sump dry and sucking air.Slowed down, to a rate more probably matching what Innovative Marine's own stock pump would do, surface scum built up. This looked like a layer of translucent white plastic, complete with a surprising volume of previously unseen detritus. To clear this scunge away, I had to remove one of the Guards and crank the canister back up to full flow. Sliding one Guard slightly sideways, as Curtis McGee suggested in his review, did not increase return flow enough to keep up with the volume of floating debris and organics produced by the relatively little that lives in the aquarium. The Desktop Fish Guards keep Amano shrimp out of the sump -- but they retard filtration so much, that the aquarium becomes a repulsive looking mess. The problematic Fish Guards inadvertently demonstrated what a great job the Eheim does in keeping the water clean, when it can get hold of it.The attached picture show the aquarium after one of the two Guards was removed. The photograph's purpose to to demonstrate how comparatively little live matter there is in the tank. What you cannot see are two Nerite snails and four Amano shrimp. There are no fish in the tank. At the moment, I am experimenting to see how many shrimp and snails I need to keep algae growth controlled.
