What size of sim card can it take does it have standard sim slot

Standard sim slot. While good for the price, this phone is very cheaply made and even feels cheaper. If you can, spend more for 1-2 models up ($70-$80) and get a by far better phone.

Will this work with Truconnect wireless?

I am using it on T-Mobile net now. Is Truconnect use the T-Mobile network? If so, maybe the phone will work. Another phone with similar specification (same radio frequencies) has been disallowed access by T-Mobile. It worked a while after the T-Mobile changeover and then just wouldn't connect. I mention this because I don't think this Blu model is a 5G phone and I have wondered if it will be orphaned like my other phone. but so far so good for almost a year now. That said, I don't use this phone for data. I turn off the 'data' connection in settings and use it for phone calls and simple texts only. Both work fine on T-Mobile now. The phone is very slow. I don't think you will use it for tick-tock or the wall. Several seconds pass following the click to call up the text 'app'. etc. But, if it suits a need, it works. I just don't want a large phone and this is one of the few small phones available. Because small phones aren't a big seller, they haven't put much sparkle into this phone. It isn't as competent as my 2017 phone for email or maps or etc. This Blu is best for phone calls and simple, no-picture texts. I suppose it will perform other function, of course, but they will be very very slow. Even being so slow, the battery life is pretty bad. You might get a day of it in standby to receive calls with no data connection. The battery seems to deplete at the same rate whether the phone is sitting on the table waiting for a call or you are actually talking on it. Not necessary, but I found batteries with this name fit : C813443130L and they had the same fairly short life as the battery that came with the phone so no solution there.
